Chapter 4 - IBAD [4]

The counterpart of Angewomon is Lilithmon, this is certain.

That scene of slapping someone left a deep impression.

But why did my fallen evolution turn into SkullSatamon and Vamdemon? If I had to say, these two should belong to the fallen evolution of Seraphimon, right?

Unlike Pokémon, Digimon Evolution is like a network—as they evolve based on emotions, experiences, environment, and various other factors; A dragon may evolve into an angel, and an angel may turn into a dragon.

Quite the freedom!

Although evolution is free, it shouldn't be this distorted for no reason.

There must be a reason.

'...Could it be because I have a male mindset?'

The only difference between her and an ordinary Angewomon was that.

If that were the case, it would explain why her fallen evolution leaned toward male-appearing SkullSatamon and Vamdemon.

Glancing at those two forms, Sora thought again: "I won't evolve."

The failure rate of evolution was as high as 80%, and if it failed, she could turn into Sukamon or Raremon. Returning to the previous world in such a state would be certain death.

Even if evolution succeeded, she would still become SkullSatamon or Vamdemon.

She didn't want either of them.

If it were a Mega-level evolution, she might have considered it.

Unfortunately, both were only Ultimate-level Digimon, at the same level as she was now. Even if evolution succeeded, she wouldn't necessarily be stronger, and it would hinder her actions in the Fairy Tail world.

So, between failed evolution and successful evolution, she chose not to evolve.

Splash~

Stepping out of the bathtub, water droplets slid down her skin.

Sora grabbed a towel and dried herself off. As she put down the towel, a white energy emerged around her, burning like flames.

Upon closer look, the energy was filled with numerous "0" and "1" symbols.

This was the DigiSoul!

In "Digimon Savers," the DigiSoul was the energy released by humans to empower and allow Digimons to evolve.

Sora, in a way, was both human and Digimon, so she could also release DigiSoul.

The warm power of the DigiSoul evaporated the moisture that the towel couldn't remove.

Once she felt refreshed, she retracted the DigiSoul and put her Angewomon outfit back on.

Sitting on the edge of the bed, Sora gathered a ball of DigiSoul in her palm, 'If I can master using the DigiSoul, even if I can't achieve Mega evolution, I can still enhance my strength…'

However, the boost wasn't significant, only about 30%.

The Gizmon controlled by Kurata fired laser beams that even the Mega-level Goldramon couldn't withstand, and she was just a background Angewomon. Even with a slight increase in power, it wouldn't make much difference.

"I really need to learn magic."

Sora leaned back, lying on the bed, and soon drifted into sleep.

The next day, after freshening up, Sora joined Mirajane, Lisanna, Elfman, and the others at the Fairy Tail guild for breakfast.

Then, they approached Makarov, who was drinking at the counter, and said in unison, "Guild Master, please teach us magic!"

"...Follow me."

Makarov set down his glass and jumped off the counter.

He led Sora and the others to the guild's library, "Since you have never learned magic before, you must start from the basics."

The so-called basics were sensing and mastering the flow of magic power.

"Magic is not a miraculous force but the flow of 'chi' within us, aligning with the wavelength of natural 'chi' to manifest in a tangible form."

"Magic is the result of concentrating mental power and focus—not of injecting one's entire soul!"

Makarov picked up a basic magic book and explained the fundamentals, which were also the key.

All magic, whether elemental, spiritual, or time-space magic, was an application of magic power, and this foundation was the fundamental principle behind all magic.

"Study this book first. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me."

Makarov handed a book to Sora.

Sora opened the book, "...Guild Master, I have a question."

"So soon?" Makarov was surprised.

'Finding an issue after just one glance—what astonishing intelligence! As expected of an angel!'

"...I can't read the text in this book."

"..."

Makarov's eye twitched.

He had given the book to Sora because she looked like a reliable adult, but he never expected that she couldn't even read.

An angel, yet illiterate.

"Let me do it."

Mirajane enthusiastically took the book from Sora's hands and began reading aloud, "Chapter 1, Section 1. To master one's magic power, one must meditate, focusing their mind through meditation..."

Following the book's instructions, Sora, Mirajane, Lisanna, and Elfman found a clean spot in the library, sat cross-legged, closed their eyes, and focused on sensing the flow of 'chi' within their bodies.

That 'chi' was magic power.

After about ten minutes, Mirajane happily opened her eyes, "I can feel it!"

Hearing their sister's voice, Lisanna and Elfman opened their eyes as well but regretfully admitted they couldn't sense the magic power in their bodies.

"Are we talentless?"

Lisanna and Elfman helplessly fell into self-doubt.

Makarov said, "Don't worry. Mirajane had already awakened her Take Over Magic, so sensing magic power for her is as easy as drinking water. This isn't a normal example."

Upon hearing this, Lisanna and Elfman regained their confidence and resumed meditating.

Being able to enter meditation so quickly already proved that they had considerable talent.

Time passed, and soon three days had gone by.

This was Sora's fourth day in this world, leaving twenty-six days until her return.

That day, Lisanna and Elfman finally sensed their magic power.

Sora also felt the flow of 'chi' within her body—not just one but two!

However, she was certain neither of them was magic power because she could clearly distinguish that one was Angewomon's holy power, and the other was the DigiSoul.

But there was no magic power.

In Magnolia, where Fairy Tail was located, the air was filled with magic power. Everyone born in this world possessed magic power, just in varying amounts.

Some people were born with immense magic power, so much so that their bodies couldn't handle it and they became frail. Some were born with very little magic power, so little that even as adults, they had barely any, making it impossible for them to become wizards.

And Sora was a traveler from another world, not a native of this one, and had no magic power at all.

Logically, someone without magic power would be wasting their time meditating.

But she persisted, because...

[Name: Sora]

[Species: Digimon ‣ Ultimate • Free • Angel • Angewomon]

[Skills: Holy Arrow • Heaven's Purple Light • Healing Light, DigiSoul • Magic Power]

[Evolution Path: Fallen]

[Transmigration Countdown: 26 Days]

That morning, Sora's body had begun generating magic power, and she figured it must have come from consuming food and meditating over the past few days.

Although the amount was small, as long as she could control it, it meant she had secured her ticket to obtaining magic power!
