Chapter 14 - IBAD [14]

The moment Sora returned to the stasis pod, she held her breath.

A simple stasis pod alone couldn't restrain a Digimon—at least, most Champion-level Digimon could easily destroy these pods. That's why the stasis pods were filled with a pale green liquid containing anesthetics.

When Sora first transmigrated and possessed Angewomon's body, she had almost been sedated as well.

Fortunately, she had traveled to the Fairy Tail world before losing consciousness. Otherwise, she would have become one of the specimens here.

Booom!

Holding her breath, Sora clenched her right fist, concentrating faint purple holy energy. Her seemingly delicate punch shattered the reinforced glass of the stasis pod, and pale green anesthetic liquid gushed out onto the floor.

Beep! Beep! Beep!

At the same time, a red light on the ceiling turned on, bathing the entire room in crimson as alarms blared incessantly.

Sora had expected the alarms. She raised her right hand, extended her index finger, and mimicked the shape of a gun.

Biu~

A faint purple beam shot from her fingertip—holy energy, a small-scale Heaven's Purple Light. Like a bullet, it destroyed the alarm system.

Next, she did the same to the surveillance cameras.

Afterward, she released magic to generate heat, evaporating the moisture on her body.

Despite the transmigration, the power she had cultivated in Fairy Tail remained intact.

However, before she returned, she had been holding a tree branch. Yet, upon returning, the branch was nowhere to be found.

"It seems transmigration indeed prevents carrying external objects."

She had already suspected this when she first arrived in the Fairy Tail world, as her body had been completely clean—without any traces of the stasis pod's anesthetic liquid.

Only she herself could transmigrate, not any external objects, that's why she never bothered purchasing magic items in Fairy Tail.

Shifting her attention, she looked at the status panel.

[Name: Sora] [Species: Digimon ‣ Ultimate • Free • Angel • Angewomon] [Skills: Holy Arrow • Heaven's Purple Light • Healing Light • Digisoul • Take Over Magic] [Evolution Path: Fallen] [Transmigration Countdown: 30 Days]

"Thirty days again… Does this mean I transmigrate every thirty days?" Sora wondered.

...

In the monitoring room, the security personnel—who had been yawning moments ago—jerked awake in alarm at the blaring sirens. Seeing the situation on the screens, he immediately grabbed his radio and shouted, "A Digimon has escaped!"

The message quickly reached the highest authority in the facility—Kurata Akihiro.

Dressed in a white lab coat and wearing small glasses, Kurata was a sinister-looking man.

Learning a Digimon had broken free from a stasis pod, he wasn't angry. Instead, he smirked.

"Even with a high concentration of sedatives, it still managed to escape… Has it developed resistance? As expected, Digimon are truly dangerous creatures."

He operated the computer, connecting to the surveillance feed, and saw the Digimon that had escaped.

"Angewomon?"

Kurata sneered, "Just an Ultimate-level Digimon."

He had invaded the Digital World multiple times and captured many Digimons—including some at Mega level. So compared to them, this Angewomon, aside from her beauty, was nothing more than a research specimen to him.

Nearby, a soldier in military attire asked, "Dr. Kurata, should we recapture Angewomon?"

As the head of Kurata's security force, the squad leader had some scientific knowledge, and hearing Kurata mention "developing resistance," he thought this escaping Angewomon might have research value.

If Kurata had been an ordinary scientist, he would have ordered her recapture for study.

But he wasn't. He was a scientist, yes—but one with ambitions far beyond science, he sought world domination.

Thus, Kurata calmly replied, "No need. If it doesn't obey, just eliminate it."

The squad leader nodded, activated his earpiece, and commanded, "Squad One, deploy. Execute termination."

...

Just then, Angewomon's voice echoed in Sora's mind, "Save them too."

She was referring to the other captured Digimon in the facility.

Among them were Goblimon, Mushroomon, Otamamon, Gawappamon, Vademon, Kunemon, and many others—Rookie, Champion, and even Ultimate levels.

"Simple enough." Sora didn't mind doing a good deed.

She raised her right hand, palm glowing with faint purple holy energy.

A technique she had developed through repeated use of Heaven's Purple Light.

In essence, she condensed and maintained a small-scale Heaven's Purple Light around her fist, making the energy spin to amplify her attack power.

She named it Holy Spiral Fist.

The same technique she had used to knock out Laxus before. The rotating force penetrated Laxus' internal organs, causing him to lose consciousness in a single hit—something an ordinary enhanced punch couldn't do against a dragon-level physique like his.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Sora systematically shattered the stasis pods, freeing the captured Digimon.

Regardless, having been submerged in anesthetic liquid for so long, they remained unconscious even after being freed.

Sora raised both hands and released healing energy, accelerating their recovery from the anesthesia.

As they woke up, the Digimons looked around in confusion.

"Where are we?"

"My head hurts…"

"Did you save us?" Vademon was the first to grasp the situation, turning toward Sora.

Sora nodded.

The Digimons all expressed their gratitude.

"No need for that. This place isn't safe—follow me."

Sora turned away from the entrance and walked toward the opposite wall, raising her right fist.

Vademon, an octopus-like Alien Digimon known for its eccentricity but also intelligence, pointed at the door. "Wouldn't the main entrance be faster?"

Angewomon thought the same.

But Sora had her own reasoning, "The entrance is guarded. Why would I use it?"

With that, she struck the wall.

"Holy Spiral Fist!"

Her rotating holy energy enveloped her fist, and with a single punch, she blasted a massive hole into the twenty-centimeter-thick wall.

Then, she punched three more times, creating four holes in total.

The Digimons watched, slack-jawed.

Even Vademon swallowed nervously. He had never expected the so-called "Goddess of Digimon" to be so… violent!

After making the four holes, Sora delivered a powerful kick, breaking the connecting cracks and opening a passage large enough for an adult to walk through.

"Let's go."

Leading the Digimons, Sora stepped outside.

She glanced back and saw a red cross symbol on the building.

"This place is… a hospital?"

'A large private hospital, at that…'

Right. Now she remembered.

Kurata's Bio-Digimon technology wasn't just about granting humans Digimon abilities—it also had medical applications, allowing the paralyzed to walk again and the weak to become stronger.

Logically, it could even restore youth to the elderly.

Knowing Kurata's personality, he would undoubtedly use this to control high-ranking figures in society, ensuring a continuous flow of research funding.

'No wonder, in the original story, Kurata never lacked money and could mobilize entire armies and even mass-produce Gizmon.'
