Chapter 16 - Hana's Pain

Tyson takes Hana to a corner and, placing his hand on her cheek, says, "You wait here for a bit, I have some work. I'll be right back."

Hana innocently replies, "But don't leave me alone. I don't like it here."

Tyson says, "It's just for a little while."

Hana was about to say something when Tyson walked away. Hana just looked around innocently.

In a VIP room, Zenith, Dane, Tyson, and Romy were sitting opposite each other.

On the table lay the Black Diamond deal file, embedded in ice.

Tyson said, "This Black Diamond isn't just a stone, it's a war." Tyson's voice was cold, but his eyes held fire.

Romy slid the file towards Dane and said, "If you sign this deal, you'll be at the top of the mafia market by morning… provided you're alive."

Greed was clearly visible in Dane's eyes. He opened the file, signed it, and said, "Done. Deal locked."

Zenith just smiled—as if he knew the real game had just begun.

As soon as the deal was done, a demonic glint appeared in Tyson's eyes.

And then...

All the lights in the hall went out in a flash.

Complete darkness, chaos, and screams erupted everywhere.

The hundreds of people in the hall suddenly started running around in fear.

Some pulled out their guns, others turned on their mobile phone torches.

But in the darkness, there was only one face that remained completely calm and smiling – Tyson.

Tyson came out of the room.

Hana was standing where Tyson had left her.

Alone in the darkness, she said in a panicked voice, "Tyson... Tyson..." Her voice was trembling. Her steps faltered as she moved forward. "Tyson please..." Where are you? Fear filled her eyes.

Every sound filled her with fear and anxiety.

Slowly, she crossed the hall and moved towards the veranda, her eyes were wet, and her heart was pounding badly.

As soon as she rounded the corner of the veranda,

She bumped into someone, and then a voice said, "Can't you see where you're going?" A harsh and sharp voice.

The next moment—the lights came back on.

Hana's eyes were dazzled by the scene in front of her. Standing in front of her, pointing a gun at her—was Lucy.

There was hatred in Lucy's eyes, and a venomous smile on her lips. Lucy said, "So you're Tyson's new mistress..."

Hana froze, unable to speak. Her eyes held questions, and her heart had only one plea—'Tyson… why did you leave me alone?'

Lucy lightly touched her cheek with the muzzle of the gun and said, "You really are very delicate…" "But isn't it amazing, Tyson… the one who doesn't love anyone, who has never given any woman a place… he chose you. You're so lucky to be his mistress!"

Hana remained silent. Her eyes were fixed on Lucy's face, and then she slowly asked, "Mistress… what is that?"

Lucy's laughter echoed at Hana's words. She started circling Hana, devouring her innocence. And she said, "Are you really that stupid or very clever? Whatever it is, your innocence won't work on me." "I know what game you're playing, but this is my game, and your time in it is over."

Standing in another corner, Zenith was watching this whole scene. A deep, strange smile was on his face.

He said to himself, "Lucy… you've really gone blind… despite being such a big mafia boss, you couldn't recognize your own daughter…"

"The innocent girl you have a gun pointed at is your own blood… your daughter." "And… when you find out the truth, will you be able to look yourself in the eye?"

Those few minutes of darkness felt like centuries. The light was back, but there was no sign of Tyson. The crowd was still in chaos, but the most anxious face was Adrian's.

Adrian said, "Tyson… where are you?" He muttered to himself, scanning the entire hall.

"You've planned something… I know you, taking advantage of the darkness is your style…"

Lucy was still standing in front of Hana with the gun pointed at her.

There were tears in Hana's eyes, but they were filled with pain now, not fear. A storm was raging inside her – Tyson's absence, Lucy's revelation, and questions about her own existence. "Tyson… did you leave me?" "My mother… is trying to kill me…" "Am I really alone in this whole world?"

Just then…

A voice came from behind, "Hello Lucy."

Lucy was startled, as if someone had broken her spell. She jerked the gun and turned around. Dane was standing there.

A faint smile played on his lips, full of confidence.

Hana glanced at Lucy… then at Dane.

And in that one moment, she made a decision—now or never.

Hana turned around with all her might and ran from there.

Lucy turned back and saw that Hana was gone. "No!!" she screamed. "You escaped today… but where will you run from me, girl…!" Anger was now seeping into her eyes like poison.

Lucy's face turned towards Dane. Her face held a shadow of anger and guilt.

Lucy said angrily, "Dane!! Where is my daughter? Where is Hana?" "I entrusted her to your care!"

Dane looked into her eyes and said, "You gave responsibility, but never a mother's love, Lucy…" "You always considered her just a mission, not a daughter…"

Lucy lowered the gun. Her face went blank for a moment. But then she said, "Don't explain all this, Dane. I want my daughter… otherwise, the consequences will be dire…"

There was a mystery in Dane's smile. He said, "You will meet your daughter soon, Lucy… but what's the hurry… patience bears sweet fruit."

Saying this, he walked away with a cold smile.

Lucy just watched him go… her face full of questions, but no answers…

She had no idea that just a few minutes ago, the girl she had held at gunpoint was none other than her own daughter, Hana.

After a few moments, Lucy left.

Meanwhile, Hana was running continuously… the crowd, the noise, the car lights… but her eyes only held tears, and her heart held questions. "Is this what a mother is like?" "Where was Tyson when I needed him the most?" "Who am I… and why have my own turned against me?"

While running, she didn't realize when she came out of the hall, when she reached the city streets.

She was walking aimlessly on the road.

She couldn't see anything through her tear-blurred vision.

Just then…

A speeding car was coming towards her.

Brakes screech, a horn blares… and just as the collision was about to happen—someone pulled her away forcefully.

She stumbled and fell against a chest… she slowly raised her eyes and said, "Tyson…"

Hana couldn't hold herself back anymore. She broke down and hugged Tyson tightly, sobbing uncontrollably.

"Where were you, Tyson…? I called you… I was alone… Mom… Mom was going to kill me… and… and you…" Her voice was trembling, her breath was ragged.

Tyson held her tightly in his arms.

There were no tears in his eyes… but there was deep pain on his face. Tyson said without any emotion, "Shhh… Hana…. I'm here… nothing will happen now… I won't let anything happen to you…"

Hana tightened her grip even more,

As if she was afraid that if she let go of Tyson, everything would fall apart again.

Where did Tyson go?

Does he know who Lucy is?

What will Tyson tell Hana now?
