Chapter 7 - Prometheus

Fucking...arghhh... stupid.. bitch...arghh.. ass.. system. I felt like my brain was dissolving and regenerating, what must have only been a few minutes felt like days, no years. When the pain finally stopped, I had to do a double take, as a vast influx of knowledge started appearing in my head, so, many, things, countless eons of progress, made by the engineers condensed into my head.

No wonder it was so painful, The system must have rebuild my entire brain to be able to comprehend and utilize the vast amounts of knowledge, even then it will take months for me to process all the knowledge.

From their ships, all the way to their genetic engineering knowledge, the latter being the most valuable thing. Obtaining intricate details about their technology and usage of genetic engineering.

Now that I have a clearer picture, the genetics knowledge will solve countless issues in the Stargate universe. Hmm.. Interesting.. yes, yes... It could be utilized that way. Certainly not impossible..

Getting caught up in my own thoughts a bit, the added processing power, was addicting. I need to be careful in the future to not get lost in my own bubble.

Moving towards the large structure in the distance, I seemed to have forgotten something, hmm.. Ahh yes. The ship in the distance.. sighhh.. this will be a headache. How do I even begin to explain what I am.

Seems I am already late, the storm is picking up, which means the expedition team of the Prometheus, have sealed their fate.

I need to make my way towards the structure, before the storm gets worse. There should be 2 people still in there.

Stopping the Goo was never in my plans, but maybe I can benefit from their idiocy, I mean who walks up to, suspected superior technology and unknown organics, does a basic scan and goes' meh our slightly better caveman tech, says it is fine, so it must be fine.

Hahahahh.. At least I got a good laugh out of it. It took me around 11 minutes, moving against the storm, but I made it to the structure. I has no need to worry about their sensors for the most part.

I can also disconnect and save my last 2 O2 tanks, the atmosphere is slightly spicy, but my lungs will do just fine, even in very low O2 environments. 3% CO2 barely registers, even factoring the O2 displacement in.

Now lets begin, I move into the structure making my way, just behind the 2 members of Prometheus that are stranded in the structure, moving past the pile and going west instead of east.

Deciding to let, what will happen, happen and not interfering with the course of events. Walking past the drone, opening the door and while walking past the ampule jars, popping about 200 into my inventory for 'safe keeping', I'm not coming back to the forsaken universe again.

With my knowledge and future knowledge, I will obtain. There are infinite possibilities and usages, for a fast evolving organism, like the Xenomorph DNA, which the black goo basically is.

Seeing nothing further to grab or study, I left the ship and moved to the entrance, waiting for the storm to die down so I can move to a nearby rock formation outside, and watch the drama unfold.

I wish a had some popcorn. A short while later I'm sitting on a small stone, just outside the crew's vision.

A few hours later the events, of the movie transpired, with Fifield crawling over tot he ship, attacking and killing part of the crew, then that decrepit raisin, left with some crew towards the structure, they'll get man handled by Ma boi, Engi.

About 2 hours later the ground shook and opened up, seeing the ship and knowing what will happen next, I sighed and stood up. Seems I've still got some of that human in me. Can't let my entertainment die now can I.

Fuck David though he can die. Taking a drone from my inventory and manually activating it, holding it like a javelin and waiting for the ship the gain some distance, I take aim and let loose.

(POV Elizabeth)

Running from the ship, I saw it, from the hillside, a golden yellow streak, It was heading straight towards the ship. It impacted the side of the ship and went through it with ease, exploding just after exiting.

I watched in fascination as the Prometheus adjusted its course and flew past the crashing ship, having already dropped the pod along with Meredith, it just continued into space, not being able to slow down.

The ship came down where Meredith landed and rolled over her running figure, I just watched it all happen, with a empty feeling. My last lifeline just left orbit.

From the distance I saw it, coming from the area where the yellow streak was fired, standing nearly the same height, as much as I can tell from here, as the Engineers.

Slowly making it's way over to me, I just watched, when it was close enough, he spoke.

''Hok'tuar kalmah kel sha'' He spoke in a unknown language, while moving closer in heavy steps, much to my confusion, he spoke again, but what seemed to be a entirely different language, sounding almost like very broken Latin.

This continued for 2 more tries, till he spoke in English, '' Human, I greet you.''

''Hello'', I said with some confusion evident in my voice.

''You and your people never have come here''. '' There is only Death here''.

''Yes, I noticed, was that you shooting down the ship''. He responded saying yes, it was him, he could not allow them to spread death, again.

(POV Jimmy)

I was having too much fun, I was laughing my ass off inwardly, the confusion on her face is priceless. Letting the Prometheus return to Earth might give this universe a fighting chance, not that a have much hope for them. But I digress.

Opening my helmet and smiling at the confused Elizabeth, I pointed over to the pod. She was running out of oxygen, I started walking a fast pace towards the pod, stretching my wings a little, just for shits and giggles.

When we arrived at the pod, I moved quick towards the octopus-like thing in the med-bay, opening the door and firing 3 quick, consecutive shots, with the zat, at the thing, 2 most likely killed it but giving one for good measure never hurt.

Hearing Elizabeth talking to David over comms, saying Engi is on his way. I just moved up with my rifle aimed at the entrance. When he pushed his way in, I just opened fire at his chest, the energy blast ripping the exo-armour apart and shredding his chest.

He walked 2 more steps, looked down confused then dropped like a sack of potatoes. I walked over and shot it again in the head, now it's dead for good.

Walking back to a stunned Elizbeth, still trying to understand the series of events that has been transpiring, since that ship got shot down. I just patted her shoulder, telling her to come, she grabbed a new suit and some supplies, then followed me to another ship.

I took a few days, but I finally taught her how to pilot the ship, how to use the navigation and communications. I told here to send a message to her people, to never come here, before she heads over to where ever it is she's going.

I help her take off from the planet, then initiate the program, I sent to the rest of the ships and structures, overloading their power generators.

We watched and one by one dozens of ships and structures detonate into beautiful blue-red explosions, creating a chain reaction that will most likely irradiate the entire atmosphere, hopefully killing any stray Xenos.

I bid Elizabeth farewell and activated my system, watching her eyes go wide as I disappear, much like how Asgard beam technology works.

(Ding!)

(User has used, 'world travel function', to return to origin universe)

(Ding!)

(User has arrived)(User has changed fate of Alien universe)(Humans of Alien universe now has a 31% chance of surviving)

That's it, no rewards, no items, nothing, just a 'well done'. Ughhh.. this system is so weird.

Its been years and I still don't even know what I am supposed to do with it. The Reward was nice though, not on par with the Ancients at their peak but well ahead of the Asgard.

Guess I will need to travel more to find out more about the system.
