Earthen Academy, in an Unknown Room.
"He's alive?"
I snickered mockingly, knowing that the bastard was alive after the beating to death that we gave him.
"He's almost half-dead when we leave him, but that trash managed to live for another day."
"Shit, if that guy had managed to see us. We're fucked you know?"
My friend scowled, knowing the consequences of the thing that we do— we'll be dead if he manages to know our faces.
He's that type of bastard after all, someone who'll get back to you at all costs.
Well, shit. If that bastard managed to see or even glimpse our face...
We're good as dead.
"Uahhhhhh."
However, I just sighed and calmed down for the time being, and for my sake.
That bastard was one the known figure of the Empire who was a mana-deprived person.
Or in other terms, a person who is talentless in mana.
Mana was one of the most important aspects of daily life, having mana was a norm even in the commoners of this Empire.
And talent in mana was one of the qualifications for you to have a good life.
However, that bastard was talentless in mana.
So he probably didn't see who we were— we were using some disguise magic after all.
It's something that alters perception, and we also paid an elf to cast some illusion magic on our body so that we won't be identified by that bastard.
As he looked at this white mask, he said.
"We're good for the time being, you shouldn't worry about that bastard that much. The possibility of him seeing us was close to zero."
I guaranteed my partner in this crime.
We also did a background check on many things associated with that man before we do the deed; whether it's his family and their wealth, his own power, his talent and skill, his habits and lastly, his atrocities...
And it's sickening, all the things that he did were sickening to the point that I puked when I discovered it, disgust written all over my body.
For reference, he was an essential core in a gang, a group of traffickers which practically targets commoner people. They sell them to those sickening bastards like the Mage Tower or even to other races that do something bad to those poor souls with some exorbitant price.
It's so severe to the point that I wondered how the hell his family managed to hide those vile things that he did before.
And that's the first thing that I muttured when I discovered his wrongdoings.
"We really need to kill or even beat this guy to death, and even if we die just for the sake of the Empire."
That's why we decided to kill that bastard, but even with the severe beating that we gave him, I give my all punching his face and kicking his body afterall.
He... still managed to fucking survive.
Fuck this life, you know? Those people who are genuinely good died early like those kids and someone so despicable like him, live? What an unfair life it is.
"Did the Marquis save him?"
I asked my partner for one of the most probable reasons why that guy survived.
"Um, yeah , he is... saved by the Marquis himself."
Well, blood is thicker than water after all.
Regardless, if he does heinous shits, he's still his son and he will do everything just to save him.

Unknown Alley of the Empire, Near Marquis Seiren's Mansion.
"That guy was fucked, right?"
I asked my hooded partner for this assasination.
"Yes, he was, In fact, we are currently locating the room he is in."
Well, there's a not-so-suprising rumor in the High Society of the Empire against that man.
Some unidentifiable people give that conceited guy a severe beating to the point that he almost died for it in the alleys of the Empire.
"Those people have guts— to attack the son of a Marquis, they might even get a death sentence if they were caught."
And also, he's currently recuperating in the Marquis' Mansion.
Well, we research a lot about him you know?
That's the first rule of assasination— know your enemy before they know thy self.
We planned a lot on how to assassinate that guy— from his possible hideouts, his possible place right now, the layout of the mansion, his habits before and we verified if the current rumors were true.
And the result was— yes it was.
That bastard suffered severely from the people that he once looked down on.
Well, we have some speculations on the people that had beaten him that bad, it's probably the commoners or someone affiliated to them, beating him to almost the point of death as a sign of revenge and a warning for those obsolete nobles.
Coincidentally— that people gave us a crucial opportunity for our mission.
And that was to assassinate him.
"The spy we planted in the mansion was currently associated with the other maids to locate that man— It seems like the Marquis had planned countermeasures and hid the place where his son was. He also seems to notice that many people will come for his son so he tightened the security of the mansion."
Regardless, If our spy managed to locate his room.
The plan will now start to roll out.

The Hallway, Mansion of the Marquis, The Next Day.
Keizen was currently strolling at the hallway of the mansion.
Lost in thought, thinking about the ways in how he can collect information about this world and universe.
Well, he listed down the things that he knows right now in his mind.
For starters— He knows that it's a new universe compared to his past universe.
Second, there's a lot going on with the identity of the body he possessed, this guy had a lot of enemies, that type of enemies that can even beat him to death and kill him.
Third one, he was pretty weak right now and if someone's gonna come after him. He must give his all to survive that ordeal.
And lastly, this system was currently progressing in its update.
Well, that was a premonition...

When suddenly, something popped out of his face.
"What the hell was this?"
A red glaring sign flickered in his view that comes from the system.
"Why? Why right now?"
And that's when he noticed something wrong.
This red panel seems like it's some type of...
Warning.
Booooooooooomm!
Suddenly, something exploded in the hallway of the Marquis Mansion.
And that's when he saw it.
"Ahhhhhh—shit."
He muttured seriously— looking at the two hooded figures walking through the hallway.
Moreover, some kind of letters appeared in his face when he gazed at the still, red and flickering panel on his face to know what was going on.
