Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: New Product Random Ceramic Jars

"This is a grand prize worth two million."

Tsunade hesitated for a moment. Deep down, she still had a bit of conscience and didn't want to take something for free from a stranger.

Even though she was drowning in gambling debt, those debts were owed to greedy merchants and corrupt nobles. So, she still considered herself a good girl.

Fang Yi waved his hand dismissively and said, "It's fine. I own the ceramic jar lottery business. These plushies can be produced anytime, there's an unlimited supply."

Tsunade was momentarily stunned, then her eyes widened in shock. "Wait, you're that guy? The one voted the most ruthless businessman by the Five Great Nations? The undefeated champion for four years straight?"

"That's me. But I'm not a ruthless businessman."

Fang Yi firmly rejected the label. He was clearly an entrepreneur.

After Receiving Confirmation

Upon getting a positive response, Tsunade immediately stuffed the plush toy into her pocket. A heartless businessman like this deserved to be taken down.

She sneered, "What shameless boasting."

Seeing one's enemy only heightened the rage. She had lost millions in the ceramic jar lottery, only to receive low-quality plush toys like the Minotaur.

"Thank you for your generous contributions to the Five Nations."

Fang Yi patiently explained, "Every time you buy a ceramic jar, a portion of the proceeds goes to ordinary civilians who can't afford food. Our full name is the Five Nations Welfare Lottery Jars."

Tsunade hadn't expected the lottery to be donating money. If true, then maybe this young man wasn't entirely heartless.

Still, she kept up appearances and scoffed, "Hah, who knows if you're telling the truth?"

"It's absolutely true," Fang Yi replied, not lying about this part. His original goal was simply to make a bit of money to live comfortably in the ninja world, but the earnings kept growing.

Since he was only staying for five years, hoarding money was pointless, so most of it was donated each year.

The ninja world, plagued by endless wars, saw ninjas sacrificing their lives. But beyond the battlefield, ordinary civilians were also mercilessly exploited by feudal lords to fuel the relentless war machine.

Fang Yi had no illusions of being a hero, nor did he intend to burn himself out to light up the world. However, if something was within his power, he would do what he could.

"Our welfare lottery jars always maintain strict control over prize probabilities. Buyers won't suffer excessive losses, and selling plush toys alone allows them to recover some costs, they won't go bankrupt."

Fang Yi exuded the demeanor of a true entrepreneur.

Tsunade's face stiffened. As much as she hated to admit it, her luck was simply abysmal. Every single jar she had opened contained the lowest-tier Rawhide Minotaur Chief plush toy.

Noticing her expression, Fang Yi seemed to understand and politely said, "Apologies. I never expected a customer to have such terrible luck, losing even their accommodation money."

Does this guy even know how to talk?

Tsunade was furious, but she couldn't refute his words.

For the sake of the Bunny Teemo plushie he had given her, she decided to let it slide.

Fang Yi patted the white-haired loli beside him, who knowingly reached into her pocket and pulled out a ceramic jar.

This one was different from the plush toy jars, it was a new experiment.

A ceramic jar that could absorb energy and essence, with randomized internal rewards. The items it produced varied based on the attributes of the absorbed energy.

For example, if a player killed a Gargoyle, there was a chance they would obtain a ceramic jar imbued with the Gargoyle's essence. Upon opening, it might yield an item like the [Gargoyle's Staff] or related abilities.

Simply rewarding points was too monotonous. This system added an element of excitement and randomness to hunting contaminated creatures.

The five Game Towers in the ninja world had yet to activate. Once someone managed to slay a contamination-source boss, the Reincarnation Game update would launch.

The Game Towers, which would include features like the Ninja World Auction House and Arena, would become the first point of interaction between the Reincarnation Game and reality.

At that time, Fang Yi would officially enter the ninja world as the owner of the auction house.

"As compensation, I'll give you this Reincarnation Ceramic Jar, which hasn't been released yet."

"Reincarnation Ceramic Jar?"

Tsunade's eyes lit up. She already had the Bunny Teemo grand prize, but for a gambler, no opportunity to draw a prize could be ignored.

"Tsunade-sama!"

Watching Tsunade get drawn in, Shizune covered her face in exasperation.

Tsunade took the jar, laughing. "Since it's a compensation gift, it would be rude to refuse."

She gently squeezed the jar.

Surprisingly, the fragile-looking ceramic didn't shatter.

Tsunade's expression shifted to one of curiosity. Though she hadn't used chakra, as a Kage-level shinobi with the powerful physique of the Senju Clan, she could crush rocks into powder with ease.

Yet this jar was so tough?

Fang Yi helpfully explained, "The Reincarnation Ceramic Jar is special, it can't be broken by brute force. Customers simply need to reach inside to retrieve their item."

Is that so?

Tsunade gave Fang Yi a scrutinizing look. He didn't radiate any chakra fluctuations, and his walking posture and delicate hands lacked the signs of a trained ninja.

This was a ninja's instinct, when encountering something unusual, the first step was to assess whether the person was a shinobi.

"If that's the case…"

Without hesitation, Tsunade reached into the jar and felt around.

A pure white, translucent light sphere emerged in her grasp.

Inside, wrapped in a bubble-like glow, was a tattered booklet covered in densely written text.

Pop.

The bubble burst, and the booklet shrank to palm size, landing gently in Tsunade's hand.

"A sealing technique?"

Tsunade's expression turned wary. She sensed no chakra fluctuations.

Fang Yi smiled politely. "Due to the unique nature of the Reincarnation Ceramic Jar, prizes larger than the jar itself undergo special processing before being stored inside."

"Since this is still a prototype, if you have any suggestions, we're happy to consider them."

Tsunade was the first person to test the jar.

If she had a good experience, Fang Yi planned to introduce it into the Reincarnation Game as a quest reward.

Tsunade studied him for a moment before shifting her gaze to the booklet, frowning. "Is this someone's notes?"

As soon as she focused on it, a translucent screen appeared before her.

[Griffin's Flesh Modification Notes (Fragment)]

~Type: Item

~Effect: After reading, you can learn the second-tier contamination source Werewolf Griffin's Flesh Modification Technique, Internal Organ Suture.

~Note: After suffering the excruciating pain of having his organs corroded by silver bullets, Griffin mastered the skill of stitching internal organs back together.

Fang Yi glanced at the booklet and explained, "It's a special medical technique that rapidly stitches damaged internal organs."

Tsunade's brow furrowed, and her heart clenched.

A suffocating sense of pressure gripped her.

Bloodstained memories she had nearly forgotten surged back, during the Ninja World War, Dan Kato had been fatally wounded by enemy ninja. His organs were shattered, and he bled out. Even with her mastery of medical ninjutsu, she had been unable to save him.

"Oh."

Tsunade remained outwardly calm, flipping through the tattered notes with slender, pale fingers.

She didn't believe there was a technique that could rapidly repair internal organs.

As one of the strongest medical ninja in the world, she was confident in that.

The faint goodwill she had started to feel toward Fang Yi vanished. Not only was he trying to scam people with a lowly witch doctor's trick, but he had also reopened an old wound.

"Tsunade-sama."

Shizune, sensing Tsunade's shift in mood, glared at Fang Yi.

As Dan Kato's niece, she was well aware of the painful memories Tsunade carried. Well-versed in medical ninjutsu herself, she immediately refuted, "Such a technique is impossible! Are you trying to deceive people with shamanistic tricks?"

"Shizune!"

Tsunade's suppressed voice rang out.

Her fingers trembled slightly as she stared at the notes, her emotions a mix of shock, doubt, and avoidance.

With her expertise in medical ninjutsu, she could tell, this organ suturing technique was actually viable!
