The kids woke up in Pablo Lorenzo's house, but a chill ran down their spines as they noticed something terrifying: he was trapped in a cage made of human bones.
—Are you okay, friend? —asked Ruwi, his trembling voice reflecting the unease spreading through the room.
—Don't come any closer! It's a— Pablo Lorenzo couldn't finish the sentence. His eyes reflected an ancient fear, his pale face drenched in cold sweat.
It was then that Ruwi, Daniel, Rosenda, and Valeria realized the horrible truth: they were also caged in macabre structures formed by femurs, ribs, and human skulls intertwined in a chilling design. The air was thick, saturated with the stench of death and despair.
—It's a trap, really —whispered Pablo Lorenzo, his voice broken by terror.
Suddenly, a dark presence manifested. From the shadows emerged a demonic figure: Lucifer. His eyes blazed with searing fire, and his silhouette cast an ominous shadow that spread across the room like a plague. With a flick of his hand, the kids' swords flew toward him, seized effortlessly.
—Well, well, how are you, kids? —mocked Lucifer with a cruel smile.
—Let them go, demon! —roared Pablo Lorenzo, his fury igniting like a blazing flame.
Annoyed by his insolence, Lucifer approached him with an expression of cold resolve. With a swift movement, he drew his sword and drove it into Pablo Lorenzo's chest. A heart-wrenching scream echoed in the room as the pain made him collapse. Lucifer, unmoved, pressed the wound with his boot, savoring his victim's suffering.
—This is what happens when someone dares defy me —said Lucifer, licking the blood from his sword before levitating a chalice to collect the scarlet liquid pouring from Pablo's wound.
The kids watched in horror. Rosenda clung to the bars of her cage, tears falling in a silent plea. Daniel pounded the bars in rage, while Valeria trembled, unable to look away from the horror before them.
—Now, let's see who I execute first —commented Lucifer, basking in his power.
The air grew heavier after Lucifer's remark.
—Wait. I want to make a deal. —said Ruwi with determination.
The demon frowned, intrigued.
—Speak. —responded Lucifer, interested.
—My father, José, was turned into a deadly sin, Ishnofel, the one who represents suffering. But I redeemed him. —explained Ruwi.
Lucifer narrowed his eyes with curiosity and suspicion.
—And what do you want in exchange? —asked Lucifer.
—Kill me and let my friends go. —answered Ruwi.
—No! —shouted Daniel, desperate.
—Ruwi, don't do it —pleaded Rosenda through sobs.
Valeria closed her eyes, unable to face what was about to happen.
Lucifer smiled, pleased with the offer. With a motion, he pulled Ruwi from his cage and made him kneel. The demon's sword glowed with dark fire as he placed it over his head.
—I condemn Ruwi for his father's betrayal. His execution shall be by decapitation —Lucifer declared, raising the blade.
Ruwi's eyes met those of his friends. Daniel was struggling, Rosenda was crying, and Valeria trembled silently.
—I love you, guys —he whispered, a tear rolling down his cheek.
Lucifer grinned and raised the sword, ready for the final blow. But at that instant, a voice roared through the room.
—Get away from my son! —shouted someone with determination.
A man struck Lucifer with such force that it hurled him against the wall.
—Dad —Ruwi whispered in awe and relief.
José was there, radiating power, his gaze burning with resolve.
—Sorry I'm late. Your mother wouldn't let me come —he joked.
Lucifer, enraged, stood up.
—You're supposed to be dead —he spat.
—Jesus sent me to teach you a lesson. —said José mockingly.
Lucifer, furious, roared and lunged at José, but he moved with the grace of a celestial warrior, dodging every attack with ease. With a precise strike, José sent him crashing into the ground.
—You look tired, Lucifer —José mocked.
Lucifer, enraged, began to transform. His wings spread, his skin turned scaly, and his eyes burned like embers. He grew into a red dragon with seven crowns, each roar shaking the very foundation of the house.
—I'm done with all of you —boomed his deafening voice.
Ruwi, Valeria, Daniel, and Rosenda broke free and seized their weapons. They knew this was the final battle.
—Daniel and Rosenda, distract him! Valeria and I will weaken him —ordered Ruwi.
Daniel and Rosenda ran around the dragon, taunting him to draw his attention. Lucifer spewed fire, but they dodged with agility. Meanwhile, Ruwi fired divine blasts at his face, and Valeria slashed at his legs with her sword.
Lucifer roared in pain, and in a last attempt to destroy them, he gathered all his dark energy. But José was ready. He approached the dragon and, with a prayer, pierced its stomach with a devastating blow.
Lucifer coughed blood and fell to his knees, returning to his angelic form. He looked at the young ones with hatred but knew he had lost.
—You may have won, but I'll be back —he threatened before vanishing.
The kids hugged each other, exhausted but victorious. José smiled proudly, but he knew his time was up.
—I have to return to heaven —he said sadly.
Ruwi hugged him tightly, crying at the goodbye.
—I love you, father. —said Ruwi with sorrow.
—I love you too, son. Take care. —replied José.
José smiled, a light enveloped him, and he vanished, leaving behind a trail of hope. The kids, filled with newfound strength, returned home, ready for their next adventure.
