Chapter 12 - Chapter 12

Because, on the first page, there was an explanation of the Will of Fire, along with Uchiha Shisui's personal interpretation and commentary on it.

What's more, Uchiha Yuta also saw Shisui's belief that the Uchiha clan needed to abandon their insular ideology and fully embrace Konoha's Will of Fire, integrating seamlessly into the village.

"I don't need this…"

After scanning a few lines, Yuta felt his eyes had been polluted. Without hesitation, he tossed the notebook back to Shisui as if it were garbage.

Damn it,

This Uchiha Shisui was spouting this nonsense so self-righteously, as if it was the ultimate truth.

If he hadn't known how hollow Konoha's so-called Will of Fire truly was, he might have actually been swayed by it.

"You…"

A rare flicker of anger crossed Shisui's face.

"If there's nothing else, I'll be leaving," Yuta said indifferently.

"Hmph…"

Shisui stowed his notebook away and then spoke in a low voice. "Lord Hokage has asked me to evaluate you for promotion to Chunin."

"If you pass, you will officially be recognized as a Chunin of Konoha and serve the village."

"Oh."

Yuta remained expressionless.

As expected, that old fox Sarutobi Hiruzen still didn't trust him. And Shisui, this fool, was letting himself be used as a tool.

Yuta activated his Observation Haki slightly.

Sure enough, the sensation of being watched was still there. No doubt, the Third Hokage was using his Telescope Jutsu to observe everything again.

"Let's go," Shisui said, taking a deep breath. He had been repeatedly brushed off by Yuta, but he remained determined. "We'll head to the training ground—"

"No need. Here is fine."

Yuta glanced at him and finally decided to show some strength.

The usual rule applied—he would only use physical abilities. Now that his Whitebeard template was at 45%, he was curious to test its power.

"Here?"

Shisui frowned slightly as he looked around the First Hokage's monument.

"That's right."

A slight smirk formed at the corner of Yuta's mouth, and his black eyes gleamed sharply.

Buzz!!

In the next instant, a suffocating pressure radiated from Yuta's body. It wasn't quite Conqueror's Haki, but it was overwhelming nonetheless.

"This… what is this feeling?"

"Dangerous…"

Shisui's body tensed involuntarily.

Because in his perception, Yuta—who had been standing there normally—suddenly transformed into an unimaginably terrifying beast, exuding an oppressive aura.

"How is this possible? He feels like a wild beast!"

"Are Taijutsu users really this terrifying?"

"I… I feel like his presence is only growing stronger."

The Uchiha shinobi hidden in the shadows, as well as the Root and Anbu operatives monitoring the situation, were all stunned. The change in Yuta's aura was too abrupt.

One moment, he seemed like an ordinary ninja.

The next, his sheer presence overwhelmed them.

Luckily, they were all highly skilled shinobi and managed to hold their ground.

"Uchiha Yuta… a Taijutsu user… seems to be quite formidable."

Inside the Hokage's office, Hiruzen Sarutobi squinted slightly as he took a drag from his pipe. "I hope Shisui can determine whether Yuta is practicing some kind of specialized spiritual technique."

Meanwhile, Shimura Danzo's eyes were locked onto Shisui—or more precisely, onto Shisui's Sharingan.

At the same time, on the First Hokage's monument—

As the one closest to Yuta, Shisui's expression shifted repeatedly.

In front of him, Yuta had changed. His presence alone was exerting intense pressure, making even someone of Shisui's caliber feel unsettled.

Dominant and fearless—

That was the overwhelming impression Uchiha Yuta gave off.

But what Shisui didn't know was that this was also Yuta's first time unleashing his full physical aura in public.

Even though his Whitebeard template was only at 45%, Whitebeard's sheer power was monstrous. Unlocking just this much was already enough to create an overwhelming presence.

"Since they want to test me, then I'll play the role of a Taijutsu user."

Yuta had already figured it out.

He could avoid suspicion for a while, but not forever.

Since the Third Hokage had sent Shisui to test him, he might as well showcase some of his physical abilities.

After all, for Konoha's higher-ups, an Uchiha who doesn't rely on the Sharingan is a good Uchiha. The more a Uchiha genius focuses on Taijutsu, the happier they are.

And besides—

The time wasn't ripe yet.

Even if Konoha's leadership realized that his Taijutsu was frightening, they wouldn't act rashly. After all, they still had the entire Uchiha clan to deal with first.

So, Yuta wasn't worried at all.
