Chapter 27 - Catastrophe at the Limits of Power

The city trembled from the blows, as if the world itself couldn't withstand the clash of two monsters. Hunters, once accustomed to dominance, now stood before an opponent equal to their strength—and that fact drove them mad.

Herman struck first. His fist, blazing with fire, crashed into Elian with a thunderous boom. The ground beneath them shattered, sending cracks rippling through the pavement. The shockwave swept away nearby buildings, tearing down walls and shattering windows across the entire district.

But when the dust cleared, Elian stood unharmed. His eyes glowed with a crimson light, and bolts of lightning danced around his body, annihilating everything in their path. He grinned, staring at Herman.

— You still think you can crush me, you fat hunk of meat? — he sneered coldly.

In response, Herman growled and stomped the ground with renewed force. A wave of destructive energy surged through the city, toppling buildings and making the air vibrate with tension. But before he could strike again, Elian vanished. He reappeared a second later, grabbing Herman by the throat and hurling him into a building with such force that it collapsed like a house of cards.

— Don't be a crybaby, — Elian whispered.

Herman crawled from the rubble, wiped the blood from his lips, and smiled.

— You're stronger than a C-rank, but it won't save you, — his voice was low and threatening. — I'm done playing.

He stretched out his hand, and suddenly, the sky above them darkened. A massive surge of energy formed in the air, like a comet, roaring as it plummeted down. It was pure destructive power—an attack capable of obliterating an entire district.

— Come on then, you little bug, — Herman growled ominously.

Elian merely smirked and raised his hand. Sparks of electricity ignited around him, gathering into a sphere that grew with every passing moment. As Herman's comet drew within meters, Elian clenched his fist—and the sphere exploded, unleashing a storm of raw energy.

The collision of the two forces triggered an explosion of such magnitude that the entire district was reduced to ruins. Buildings crumbled, the earth split open with deep cracks, and the air was thick with ash and sparks.

When the smoke cleared, Herman was on his knees, gasping for breath. Elian, bleeding but still standing firm, tilted his head to the side.

— What's wrong? The fat lard finally fell down? — his voice dripped with venomous mockery.

Herman lifted his head, his eyes blazing with fury. Thi

s battle was far from over.
