Chapter 8 - Chapter Eight

It had been two whole weeks since Warren and Skylar's contract marriage. Two weeks of chaos, tension, and slow-burning chemistry. And more than a week since Skylar last stepped foot in college. According to Warren, her expulsion was only for three months—temporary. But in that short time, Skylar had turned into something... dangerously adorable.

Though they hadn't slept in the same room or crossed any spicy lines, Skylar had become the definition of clingy. She followed Warren like a baby duck, got everything she wanted, and threw tantrums like it was a full-time job. Funny thing? Skylar hated body contact. Like, hated it. But with Warren? She was a cuddly mess.

Skylar used to only smile at the sight of blood. Now? One look at Warren's stupidly perfect face and she was giggling like a teenage girl crushing hard. She wasn't entirely open, not yet—but her walls were crumbling fast. And Warren? Oh, he was thriving.

Her giggles, her blushing cheeks, the way she'd wear his oversized shirts, throw mini tantrums, and curl into him like he was her safe haven—Warren was barely surviving it. The psycho girl he married had transformed into the most dangerously cute thing he'd ever laid eyes on. It was getting harder not to kiss her.

Like now.

"No, no, no, no—you're not going anywhere!" Skylar declared, lips pouted, cheeks puffed in fake anger.

Warren chuckled softly. "Baby, I've got work. I need to go."

"No. You went yesterday, and the day before that. You go every day," she huffed, crossing her arms.

"You could come with me."

"I get bored there," she whined, eyes narrowing.

"But I—"

"No."

"Mio Amore."

"No."

"Baby."

"No."

"My precious?"

"No, no, no, nooooo!" she yelled.

Warren raised his hands in surrender, his smile stretching wider. "Fine, I won't go. Happy now?"

"Very," she grinned. "Now let's go to the amusement park. Come on, let's get ready!" she said, tugging him into her room.

Princess was on full baby mode—and damn if it didn't suit her.

SKYLAR'S ROOM

Warren stood behind her, arms lazily wrapped around her waist, chin resting on her shoulder as they stared into the mirror.

"When did you get that outfit?" he asked, amused.

"Yesterday. Went shopping with Nanny," Skylar replied, tying her hair into pigtails.

She turned, now focused on fixing Warren's bangs, her delicate fingers brushing over his forehead. They wore matching outfits—Skylar in a black tennis skirt, oversized red and black sweater, and Dior sneakers. Warren wore the same sweater and shoes, paired with ripped black jeans.

"Ready for our date, Mio Amore?" he teased.

"D-Date?" she stuttered, her cheeks instantly going rosy.

"Hmm, a date," he smirked, loving the way she melted.

"Let's go?" he said, offering his hand.

"Let's go," she giggled, sliding her palm into his.

WALTER MANSION

"Let me go, you fucker! I quit! I'm not your employee anymore! RAYMOND!" Alice screamed, legs flailing as she was shoved into the car.

"Drive," Raymond said calmly, ignoring her chaos as he slid into the seat beside her.

"This is kidnap! HELP!" Alice yelled, head out the window like an unhinged puppy.

Raymond stared at her blankly, wondering how she and Skylar managed to be besties. Psycho besties, clearly. Especially since her own mother helped him pack her bags.

Truth is? A lot had gone down lately—for everyone.

Raymond had confessed his feelings in the most dramatic, Raymond way possible.

FLASHBACK

"Huh?" Alice blinked at him like he had grown two horns.

The entire company's cafeteria was decked out—red carnations, heart balloons, all eyes on the duo in the center.

"I. LOVE. YOU." Raymond repeated.

Alice looked around wildly, then back at him, hair now a hot mess.

"You love me?" she shrieked. "Since when?!"

"Since you turned fifteen, Vanilla," he said sweetly.

"SKYLAR!!" Alice yelled like her savior would appear.

"She won't mind, Vanilla," Raymond cooed, cupping her cheeks.

Alice's eyes bulged. "I quit!!" she screamed and bolted.

PRESENT

"Where are you taking me, Raymond?" Alice hissed.

"Vacation."

"F*ck you."

He sighed. "Can't wait."

THE PARK

"Stop following me, sh*thole," Barbie snapped.

"You're the one following me, fucker," Blaze replied.

No missions today meant Barbie wanted peace. A walk in the park. Alone. But Blaze was glued to her, hands tucked in his joggers like the smug bastard he was.

Then she bumped into someone.

And her breath caught.

"You've got to be kidding me," she muttered.

"Long time, Barbie," a familiar voice said.

"Vans…?"

"Didn't you miss me?" he asked with that annoying smirk.

"I… I…" she stuttered.

Blaze stepped in, wrapping an arm around her waist. "Do I know you?" he asked coldly. "Who are you?"

"Her boyfriend. Right, babe?" Blaze added, eyes never leaving Vans.

Barbie nodded slowly.

"F*ck you," Vans snapped and stormed off.

"What was that for?!" Barbie yelled.

"Help," Blaze shrugged, smirking as he walked away.

"YAH, BLAZON!" she yelled, chasing after him.

AMUSEMENT PARK

After the rollercoaster, Skylar wanted a snack.

"What do you want, my Candy?" Warren asked.

She pointed to a giant bunny-shaped cotton candy.

"Wait here, I'll get it," he said, seating her on a bench. His eyes sparkled with pure, shameless love.

While waiting, Skylar heard two guys talking nearby.

"My d*ck went rock hard in her hands," one said.

"Really?"

"Yeah dude, you have to get a blowjob from her."

Skylar blinked at them, confused.

When Warren returned with the cotton candy, she beamed and took it happily. They sat and relaxed until Skylar turned to him innocently.

"Warren?"

"Yeah, Amore?"

"What's a dick?"

Warren choked on air. "What?!"

Skylar tilted her head. "What's a dick?"
