Lin woke up to the sounds of the city. He returned to his daily life, lost in his thoughts, trying to get away from the darkness he had experienced in the forest.
As he walked through the city streets, observing the life around him, he wondered about the strange events he had experienced recently.
Amidst the usual bustle of life, he heard screams coming from a nearby alley.
Lin cautiously crept over to see what was going on, but was stunned by a strange-looking monster with a giant head and gleaming fangs tearing the ground beneath its feet.
As people fled in every direction, the air was filled with the smell of fear.
Lin didn't hesitate, grabbed his new sword and charged forward. His movements were a reflection of the training he had forced himself to undergo in the forest, but it was not enough to counter this violent beast.
In an instant, the monster delivered a crushing blow to Lin. He felt helpless, but before the attack could touch him, a mysterious man wearing a long coat and a flaming sword appeared.
"Don't try to face it alone, kid!" The man said in a shrill voice as he made his way towards the monster with quick and deadly blows. In the blink of an eye, the monster was dismembered and fell lifeless.
The man looked at Lin intently and said, "You have a special power, don't you?"
Surprised by the remark, Lin asked cautiously: "Who are you? Are you from the Hero Society?"
The man laughed softly and said, "I'm Cade, a member of an organization called the Guardians. We are part of the Society of Heroes. Our mission is to protect humanity from the monsters that infiltrate our cities. I've been keeping an eye on you, and I think you might be a suitable candidate to join us."
Lin felt confused but also curious. He asked: "What makes me suitable?"
Cade smiled enigmatically and said, "You won't understand now, but you have the will, and that's the first requirement."
Cade reached out and gave Lin a small symbol with a strange marking and said, "If you are ready to change your life and join us, come to this address tonight."
Before Lin could respond, Cade disappeared into the crowd as if he had never existed.
Lin arrived at the address engraved on the code. The place was an old building shrouded in mystery, hidden in the shadows of the night as if it had been forgotten in time.
Despite its eerie silence, Lin felt a strange energy envelop him as he approached.
He set foot inside the building, and bright lights emanated from the floor, dimly illuminating the hall. Before he could understand what was going on, he felt his body being pulled by an invisible force, and then he found himself in a great, majestic hall.
The walls were covered with huge carvings that told the stories of unknown heroes and ancient legends of guardians who stood against the darkness for centuries.
The floor was like a mirror, reflecting the stars as if looking at the sky, while the ceiling disappeared into infinite darkness.
From the center of the hall, Kaid appeared with his calm smile. Behind him stood a group of people dressed in unique outfits bearing the emblems of the Guardians.
Cade said: "Welcome, Lin. "You have proven your courage, but now you must show your strength in front of the Guardians."
A man with a black beard and gray eyes, who appeared to be their leader, stepped forward and said in a strong voice: "Lin, we are the Guardians, the last line of defense between humanity and the monsters.
Joining us is not just an honor, it is a burden that requires sacrifice. We will test your strength, your will, and your character."
Suddenly, the floor split beneath Lin's feet, and a large portal filled with mysterious symbols appeared.
A huge dragon-like monster emerged from the portal, its body covered in black spines and giant wings, its scorching breath filling the air.
The commander shouted: "Show us, Lin! Show us what you can do!"
Lin stepped forward steadily, summoning the air sword from his power. The fight began in the great hall. The whole place shook under the beast's blows, but Lin was fighting intelligently, analyzing every move. He unleashed violent winds to restrain the beast's wings, then summoned fire arrows to strike at its weak points. One of the guards whispered in amazement: "He has two elements!"
But the monster quickly regained its strength, and hit Lin with a powerful blow that knocked him away. As his body groaned in pain, he felt the energy within him rise to a new level.
The air around him turned into a tornado around his body, and his heavenly eyes flashed even brighter.
Lin rushed towards the monster with decisive steps, gripping his sword tightly. He raised the sword high and delivered a single blow filled with all of his strength.
As the sword made contact with the monster's body, an enormous energy burst out, destroying the monster from within.
The monster's screams faded away, and its body collapsed into scattered shadows. Lin stood in the center of the hall, exhausted but steady.
Cade walked up to him with a faint smile, while the Commander said in a respectful tone: "You have proven yourself, Lin. You have shown courage and strength. But this is just the beginning. The road ahead of you is long, and it will be full of challenges."
Lin looked at the commander and the guards around him, his eyes filled with determination. This was a new beginning, but this new beginning might just be the beginning of disaster
