Alvina stood in front of the old courtyard that was surrounded by bushy grasses and tears welled up in her eyes.
This place meant a lot to her. This was the place she has stayed for years. The memories she had of her moments with her mother and grandmother in the courtyard were priceless.
The Cold wind blew on her face, sending shivers down her spine and she hid her fingers in her coat pocket.
She inhaled heavily and made her way in.
The huge padlock was still there but thankfully she found the backyard door.
The room was dusty from not being used for such a long time.
Alvina took off the white cloths that were used to cover the items and she coughed loudly as the dust entered her nose.
She removed her handkerchief and tied it on her nose before continuing what she was doing.
Alvina found some items belonging to her grandmother and she smiled warmly.
On the wooden table was a small framed picture of three people.
An elderly woman, a young lady and a little girl.
It could be seen they were living happily as the smiles in the picture were warm and genuine.
Alvina picked the frame and wiped off the dust with her fingers.
That was her grandmother, her mother and herself.
She tucked the frame in her coat pockets and continued to look around.
After searching for hours she couldn't find anything really valuable.
When she opened her grandmother's secret locker and found it empty, her fingers trembled and she fell to the floor in Panic.
Juliet has already searched the room, she took everything.
That padlock was placed there by her.
Alvina bit her lips and felt helpless.
She came all the way here to find something, anything valuable she could sell to pay her mother's fees but now it was all gone.
Her mind drifted to her mother's weak body and she clenched her fists.
Through fire or blood she would get everything back from Juliet.
She wouldn't let her mother die, she won't give up. Never.
By the time Kelvin arrived at Alvina's home it was dark.
He was in a very good mood, having found the person he had been searching for, for years.
He smiled sweetly with his hands in his pockets and his boots kicking small stones as he walked.
He opened the door and entered the room only to find it in darkness.
He frowned deeply and was about to call out Alvina's name when the lights suddenly came on.
Kelvin found her sitting on the floor in the corner and he clutched his chest with a fake frown.
"Gosh, little sister you scared me"
But seeing no response from her, he walked towards her and sat beside her.
"Hey, What's wrong?" he asked as he rubbed her hair and Alvina exhaled.
"Nothing really, just had a bad day" she replied with her eyes closed, looking utterly exhausted.
"Well, I got something for you," Kelvin replied as he pulled out a lollipop and gave it to her.
Alvina smiled as she took it and plopped it into her mouth.
The sweet taste in her mouth spread across her and she felt much better.
She stared at Kelvin for a while before ruffling his head and hugging him tightly.
"Thank you second brother" she said softly and Kelvin pinched her cheeks with a smile.
After some time, Alvina raised her head and spoke
"I'll be leaving tomorrow second brother" her voice was filled with sadness and Kelvin paused for a moment before nodding.
After meeting her, he forgot he had to leave, it seemed like he wanted to spend forever with her.
"Me too" he whispered and Alvina sighed.
"I… I hope you won't forget me second Brother, even though I met you for a short time, I feel like I've known you for years,
She paused and laughed before staring out of the window, looking at the darkness outside.
I'll miss you"
She didn't know why but she felt a sisterly affection towards him as if she had known him for years.
Tears welled up in Kelvin's eyes and he pulled her into a hug.
"I'll miss you too, little sister"
.
Mhmm, she murmured with a smile as she rested her head on his chest and drifted off to sleep.
"Mummmm, I.. did it, I made kelvin believe I'm the girl he had been looking for" Juliet squealed out happily on phone to her mother and Janet couldn't be any happier.
"Good job, my daughter, return to V country tomorrow with him and you will have to meet the other men
Be extra careful, especially when around Stanley, that guy is the smartest and cannot be easily fooled like kelvin
In case he finds you suspicious I can't think of what he will do you"
Janet's voice trembled at this point.
When Juliet heard Stanley's name, fear engulfed him, who didn't know Stanley Michael in Country V.
He is a cold hearted young billionaire, known to be very cold and ruthless in his actions.
If he finds out she's an imposter, she can't even imagine what would happen to her and the Mayler family.
Her palms turned sweaty and she almost peed on herself.
"Mum, let's not think about that ok, I'll make sure no one finds out"
Juliet replied, she had to be positive.
"Alright my daughter, Goodnight"
"Goodnight, mum"
The next morning, Alvina had packed her bags and was waiting for Kelvin under a tree in the house.
She was about to yell for keeping her waiting when she saw him step out of the house dressed in a navy blue shirt and black pants.
Actually, Alvina hadn't really taken a good look at him.
He looked like a model stepping out of a magazine and a warm smile spread on Alvina's face.
Then she ran towards him, the warm sunlight caught her face, illuminating her features with a soft glow.
Her hair, lifted by the gentle breeze, flowed behind her like a golden ribbon, adding a touch of ethereal beauty to her already radiant appearance.
The wind whispered through her locks, caressing her skin with a soft, soothing touch as if nature itself was embracing her joyful sprint.
With each step, her face lit up with an increasing sense of freedom and love.
Her eyes shining bright with excitement until she finally reached his open arms where she swept into a warm, loving hug.
