In the Hospital of Kuoh Town, a young man stirred awake on a sterile hospital bed. His sharp features and tousled dark hair reflected in the overhead fluorescent lights.
"A strange ceiling," he murmured, sitting up and scanning the unfamiliar room. A dull ache throbbed in his temples as fragmented memories flooded his mind.
Who am I? Where is this place? What happened?
Kanzaki Kenzo recalled the exhaustion from relentless overtime at work. Finally granted a brief respite, he had indulged in an all-night gaming session to celebrate. But that didn't explain his current predicament.
Why am I in a hospital?
As he grappled with confusion, a surge of foreign memories overwhelmed him. Vivid images and emotions not his own played out in his mind. Sorting through them, Kenzo pieced together a startling realization.
I've... transmigrated.
The previous inhabitant of this body was also named Kanzaki Kenzo, a student who had moved to Japan with his parents due to their work commitments. Recently, his father had received a promotion, prompting a family celebration. However, tragedy struck during their outing and a sudden explosion engulfed their car. Kenzo's parents perished instantly, and he was left gravely injured, both physically and emotionally.
The trauma proved too much for the original Kenzo, leading to his demise. And now, a new soul occupied this body.
"Is this some kind of karmic joke?" Kenzo muttered, rubbing his temples.
While he felt detached from the emotional weight of the previous Kenzo's loss, one detail unsettled him—the cause of the explosion. In the depths of his inherited memories, he saw it clearly: a towering, shadowy figure, grotesque and menacing.
A cursed spirit.
The realization sent a chill down his spine. In this world, supernatural entities from various anime universes existed. Yet, the people around him seemed oblivious, dismissing his accounts as hallucinations. The original Kenzo had been labeled delusional, his warnings ignored.
"This complicates things," Kenzo mused, clenching his fists.
In a world teeming with dangerous beings, survival was paramount. The weight of this reality pressed heavily upon him.
Suddenly, a mechanical chime echoed in his mind.
[System Initialized. Welcome to the Entry System. Please access your interface for more details.]
Kenzo's eyes widened.
A system? Like in those web novels?
Focusing inward, a translucent panel materialized before him.
[Kanzaki Kenzo]
Race: Human
Level: 1
Entries:
Spiritual Awareness (Common): Enables the perception of spiritual entities and phenomena.
Healing Bracelet (Rare): Grants the wearer accelerated healing abilities when activated.
"So, this explains my rapid recovery," Kenzo noted, examining the sleek, white bracelet adorning his wrist.
Entries represent abilities or traits, categorized by rarity: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythical, and Divine.
With this system, I can harness and master these entries (aka abilities)
Activating the Healing Bracelet, a soft glow enveloped him. The residual aches from his injuries faded, replaced by a rejuvenating warmth.
However, the process drained his stamina significantly.
"Powerful, but taxing," he observed, deactivating the bracelet.
[Congratulations! You've activated your first entry. A Beginner's Pack has been rewarded.]
Kenzo accessed the new notification.
[Beginner's Pack opened. You've obtained a Divine Entry: Limitless Potential.]
His breath hitched.
A Divine Entry? At the pinnacle of the hierarchy?
Eagerly, he examined its description.
Limitless Potential (Divine): Removes all growth limitations. Continuous effort results in unbounded strength and skill acquisition.
Kenzo's heart raced.
Endless growth... No bottlenecks?
Determination ignited within him. The memory of the cursed spirit's attack was a stark reminder of his vulnerability.
I need to get stronger. Fast.
Discharging himself from the hospital, Kenzo returned to his residence. Without delay, he ordered an array of fitness equipment and immersed himself in rigorous training.
Days blurred into weeks. His regimen was relentless. Muscles were torn apart and rebuilt stronger than before. Techniques were learned, practiced, and perfected. The Healing Bracelet ensured swift recovery, allowing him to push beyond normal human limits.
In a short span, his physique transformed. Lean muscle sculpted his frame, and his movements became fluid and precise. Self-taught kendo and martial arts sessions bore fruit, each swing of the blade and strike of his fist more refined than the last.
"This Limitless Potential is truly remarkable," Kenzo reflected during a cooldown, sweat streaming down his chiseled torso.
Not only did his physical abilities soar, but his cognitive functions sharpened. Concepts that once seemed complex now unraveled with ease. Languages, sciences, arts—he absorbed them all.
Just as he prepared for another training session, his phone buzzed.
An unknown number.
"Hello?"
"Mr. Kanzaki," a formal voice intoned. "This is the administration from Kuoh Academy. We've received notice of your discharge but haven't seen you on campus. Are you considering an extended leave?"
Kenzo paused. School had been the last thing on his mind.
"I appreciate the concern," he replied. "I'll resume classes immediately."
After ending the call, he pondered.
Kuoh Academy... That name sounded awfully familiar.
Just then, flashes of memory surfaced. The prestigious institution which was attended by notable individuals: Rias Gremory, a senior with an enigmatic aura; Yuji Itadori, his classmate; and Natsuki Minamiya, the petite yet formidable teacher known for her gothic lolita attire and commanding presence.
Wait a minute...
Pieces clicked into place.
This world... It's an amalgamation of various anime universes.
The realization was staggering. Characters and events from different series coexisted, intertwining in unpredictable ways.
Kenzo exhaled deeply.
This changes everything.

The following morning, Kenzo donned his uniform and made his way to Kuoh Academy. The campus buzzed with energy, students bustling about, each seemingly harboring their own secrets.
Entering the faculty office, he was met with a familiar figure.
"Kanzaki?" Natsuki Minamiya looked up from her paperwork, her piercing gaze scrutinizing him. "You've... changed."
Kenzo offered a respectful nod. "Ms. Minamiya. After the accident, I realized the fragility of life. I dedicated myself to self-improvement."
Her eyes narrowed slightly. "A little exercise doesn't usually result in such a drastic transformation."
He met her gaze steadily. "When faced with death, one's priorities shift."
A beat of silence passed before she sighed, sliding a stack of papers toward him.
"These are the assignments you missed. Catch up."
Kenzo accepted them gratefully. "Thank you, Ms. Minamiya."
As he turned to leave, her voice halted him.
"If you encounter... anything unusual, my door is always open."
Kenzo glanced back, noting the seriousness in her expression.
"I'll keep that in mind."
