The golden sun dipped below the horizon, its dying rays staining the sky blood-red.
"Mitarashi Kai!!!"
A desperate scream echoed across the entire Hidden Leaf Village.
"Huff... That scared the hell out of me. I thought I was going to get caught this time!" Mitarashi Kai muttered as he heard the distant cries. Glancing at the Hokage Rock now covered in paint, he patted his chest and let out a long sigh of relief.
"This time, with all this commotion, that damned system should finally activate, right?"
As the thought crossed his mind, a surge of information appeared in his brain:
"Ding!
Congratulations, Host! Your Reputation Points have reached 102, meeting the requirements to activate the Ultimate Career System. The Ultimate Career System is now activating.
Please wait...
1%, 2%, 3%..."
Mitarashi Kai, once just an ordinary otaku born in a peaceful world, had lived a simple, carefree life: waking up at sunset and sleeping at sunrise. But one day, while out scavenging for food, he was struck by a speeding truck and found himself transmigrated into the perilous world of Naruto, where human lives were often worth less than a dog's.
Transmigration? Fine. Kai had no objections—he was an orphan, with no ties to hold him back.
But why not the Uchiha clan?

"It wasn't easy, huh? Since it's called the Ultimate Career System, it better live up to its name. Don't let me down!" Kai thought as he stared at the progress bar nearing 100%.
"The Ultimate System is officially activated. This system aims to cultivate the host into the strongest existence across infinite worlds. The system is currently in its initial activation phase:
Host: Mitarashi Kai.
Career: Ninja.
Reputation Points: 102.
Task Module: Not yet activated.
Lottery Module: Activated.
As the host has activated the Ultimate Career System within three years, a novice gift package is awarded."
Feeling the information transmitted to his mind, Kai frowned slightly, disappointed.
"This system is so simple? Where's the 'ultimate' part of it?"
"System, since you're the Ultimate Career System, can you make me the strongest ninja right now?"
"No!"
"Can you give me the Rinnegan? Sharingan? Byakugan?" Kai continued to ask.
"No!"
"What about Kekkei Genkai? I'm not greedy; just give me a few!" Kai pressed on, unwilling to give up.
"No!"
...
"Then what can you do?"
Kai was furious. Had he wasted two years just to activate a useless system?
"The host has now unlocked the Lottery Module and can begin drawing rewards."
"Lottery!? How does it work?" Hearing this, Kai reluctantly perked up and asked.
"The Lottery Module is activated. The host can use Reputation Points for draws. 100 Reputation Points allow one Basic Draw, 10,000 Reputation Points allow one Intermediate Draw, 1,000,000 Reputation Points allow one Advanced Draw, and ** Reputation Points allow one Ultimate Draw."
"So you're saying my entire Reputation Points can only afford one Basic Draw!?"
Kai stared at the long string of zeros for the Ultimate Draw, then at his mere 102 Reputation Points. His lips twitched involuntarily. These points had taken him two years to earn, yet they could only buy one Basic Draw in this stingy system.
"Yes, Host. Would you like to proceed with the draw?"
"Draw!"
Kai gritted his teeth and spat out the word after a long pause. If he didn't draw, what use were the Reputation Points?
As soon as the thought crossed his mind, a virtual roulette appeared in his mind.
At the center was a slender pointer, and the roulette was divided into four sections labeled Bloodline, Skills, Items, and Special, each corresponding to a different color.
The areas varied in size: Items occupied about 40% of the roulette, Skills another 40%, while Bloodline and Special combined barely took up 10%.
With a slight thought, the pointer began spinning wildly on the roulette. After about half a minute, its speed gradually slowed down.
Slowly but surely, the pointer passed over Special, Bloodline, and Items before finally stopping in the Skills section.
As expected, his luck wasn't great.
Kai sighed as he saw he hadn't landed on Bloodline or Special.
"Congratulations, Host! You have obtained a Basic Skill: Ninja Tool Throwing Mastery. Would you like to extract it?"
Ninja Tool Throwing Mastery!?
"Extract! Of course, extract!" Kai was momentarily stunned before responding quickly.
Ninja Tool Throwing Mastery was actually quite a decent skill.
Having truly immersed himself in this real ninja world, Kai realized how crucial ninja tools were to a ninja's survival.
A battlefield filled with ninjutsu was a high-level combat scene!
For most Genin and Chūnin, battles relied heavily on kunai, shuriken, explosive tags, and other ninja tools, as well as basic ninjutsu like Clone Technique, Transformation Technique, and Substitution Technique that didn't involve elemental chakra.
Ninjutsu was the foundation of a ninja village, and it couldn't be easily leaked.
Typically, only Chūnin had the chance to learn ninjutsu. Even then, they needed to complete a certain number of missions, pass the village's assessment, and receive permission to learn one or two C-rank ninjutsu, with strict rules against sharing them.
Of course, battlefield spoils were a different matter altogether.
Now, he just needed to see how powerful this Ninja Tool Throwing Mastery really was!
