Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Ash the Sword God of Ten-Mile Slope! Overpowered Traits, Infinite Reincarnation!

Chapter 2: Ash the Sword God of Ten-Mile Slope! Overpowered Traits, Infinite Reincarnation!

[Trait: Infinite Reincarnation (Rainbow)]:

After reaching the peak of your current level, you can reset your level in exchange for a higher stat ceiling and maximum potential. Reincarnation limit — infinite.

[Trait: Movie Star (Orange)]:

When battling against higher-leveled Pokémon, there is a 10% chance to temporarily raise your level to match your opponent's.

Originally, the "Infinite Reincarnation" trait was called [Regional Reincarnation] when it was Gold.

Not only did it have strict requirements, it also came with many limitations:

You had to hit a hard level cap.

You had to travel across an entire region before reincarnating.

There are only eight regions in the Pokémon world:

Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, and Galar.

The Paldea region from the newer games didn't exist in this world.

Meaning, Pikachu could only reincarnate up to 8 times with the Gold version.

But now that it had been upgraded to Rainbow, there were no region limits and no reincarnation caps!

The difference between Gold and Rainbow traits was like the difference between a regular Pokémon and a Legendary—immeasurable!

The original Movie Star trait in Blue was absolute garbage.

It only had a 1% chance of raising your level in a fight against stronger opponents—and worse, it had a 50% chance of lowering your level when battling weaker ones!

Even now, Ash still thinks it was one of the most flawed traits he's seen.

At one point, he nearly scrapped it.

But in the end, he decided to gamble on it—and finally upgraded it to Orange.

The chance of triggering still isn't high, but at least it's not a liability anymore.

When combined with Infinite Reincarnation, it becomes absolutely devastating.

If it activates—even briefly—Pikachu can crush anyone of the same level.

That's why Ash never replaced this trait.

As for the remaining three traits:

---

[Trait: Thunder God (Gold)]:

You possess an extraordinary energy storage capability, able to hold up to 100 million volts.

Electric-type moves of the same level or lower can't hurt you.

Your own Electric-type moves deal double damage.

[Trait: Exceptional Intelligence (Purple)]:

You have intelligence far beyond ordinary Pokémon. Even without your Trainer's commands, you can make effective battle decisions on your own.

[Trait: Overloaded Techniques (Purple)]:

Your moves have a 10% chance to exceed their usual power limits.

---

Currently, Pikachu can hold up to five traits at quasi-Elite level.

These are the five traits that Ash carefully selected after years of grinding.

Thunder God was upgraded from a basic lightning ability—and it consumed a ridiculous amount of trait fodder!

If Ash hadn't been lucky enough to occasionally find Red-level traits over the past four years, he probably couldn't have even upgraded this one to Gold.

Thunder God doesn't just boost Electric attacks—it also unlocks a special move:

"100 Million Volt Thunder — Raijin!"

It can only be used once Pikachu's energy is fully charged.

After Pikachu reincarnated once, it took half a year to fully charge this move!

As Pikachu gets stronger, charging will get faster—but Ash hasn't even tested the full power of it yet.

They need to find a Legendary Pokémon to test it on.

The Infinite Reincarnation upgrade came from a beginner gift pack the system granted upon awakening.

If it wasn't for that, there's no way low-level wild Pokémon would drop Rainbow traits.

The other two traits—Exceptional Intelligence and Overloaded Techniques—were innate.

They're both extremely useful, but Ash currently lacks the materials to upgrade them.

And so, after years of grinding in the "Ten-Mile Slope" near Pallet Town, Ash was finally ready to step into the world.

Starting out with a Raijin Pikachu at quasi-Elite level?

Newbie Trainers, prepare to tremble!

While reminiscing, Ash arrived at Professor Oak's lab.

Just in time to see Gary Oak coming out after receiving his starter.

He had a confident smile on his face, waved to the crowd, and said,

"Don't worry everyone, I'll definitely win the Indigo League trophy and bring it back!"

"No one in history has ever become a League Champion in under six months. I'll be the first!"

Ash couldn't help but chuckle when he heard Gary's boast.

"Alright, enough bragging. Let's see if you can even beat my Pikachu. What Pokémon did you pick?"

Ash didn't usually play with kids his age, but Gary was different.

Maybe because he was Professor Oak's grandson.

Or maybe because… they were destined to be rivals.

So around Gary, Ash let himself act a little less mature.

Gary's smile froze when he heard Ash's voice.

He had just gotten his first Pokémon and was still full of dreams about dominating the League—then Ash appeared and crushed his mood in seconds.

"Hmph! What's a Pikachu to me? Once my Pokémon evolves, it'll beat ten of yours!"

"Oh? So you admit you can't win now?"

Gary: "…"

He didn't reply—because honestly, he couldn't.

Ash got Pikachu years ahead of time.

Gary picked Squirtle, a Water-type.

Not only was it weak to Electric, but Ash's Pikachu was anything but normal.

He once saw Pikachu wipe out a Fearow with one Thunderbolt!

He almost thought he was hallucinating!

Judging by what he'd seen, Ash's Pikachu had to be at least Elite-level!

No way a normal Pikachu gets that strong in just a few years.
