"Michael was just finishing creating a backstory for his character. He set his character to be a son of Shamrock with a woman from a D. clan, which was impossible in the canon, considering Shamrock's arrogance, but still, it's his fanfic; she was a younger sister of Garp. She died while giving birth to him.
He made him the same age as Ace, and he was being trained to be a future God's Knight. While being transported to a training island that was supposed to train future God's Knights where they would be exposed to violence, they were hit by a strong storm, so strong that even though they had a current member of the God's Knights die, all of the people aboard the ship died, so he was also assumed dead. His vivre card also burned due to the character dying, only to end up being revived when he was washed ashore. Due to this, he was not found.
This is the backstory he would give his character. He was also thinking of combining the talents of Shanks and Mihawk with the original body's talent to make him more powerful. After finishing writing, he was hungry, eager to eat. He decided to save his work and come out of his building to buy something. While crossing a road on the way to the store, he didn't notice a truck that was approaching him at a speed that was guaranteed to send you to the afterlife. He was then hit by the truck and died quickly after that.
When he woke up, he was feeling a headache, just like someone who had drunk heavily the night before, and it was so intense that he suddenly screamed. After that, he was hit by a wave of memories. He was now Kageken D. Figarland, raised only as Kageken Figarland, a son born from the relationship of Shamrock and a mysterious Monkey D. family. He was raised in Marijoa, being trained to be a God Knight in the future. He was showing his talent at a young age, only 6 years old, but already having the strength to defeat CP9 agents who serve and protect the Celestial Dragons. They were being escorted to a private island where they would conduct training, when suddenly a storm hit them.
All of this was familiar to him. He was the one who wrote this; it was the character he was creating for his soon-to-be fanfic. Now he was living as himself. He then felt an excitement, considering that he was in a world where the strong are respected. He had all the talent he would need; he was a D. clan member and a Figarland, combined with Shanks' and Mihawk's talent. He just needed to put in the effort, and then he would be equal to Shanks and Mihawk combined, maybe even stronger when he reached the age of 17. He then started planning his next moves and what his routine was going to be.
Deciding that today would be a great day to assess his situation, he looked around. Nothing was seen except sand. He then stood up and started moving. He had the memories and muscle memory of the training his body underwent for a year before he swapped with his soul.
After many hours had passed, he finally circled the entire island. He just walked on the shore, but it took him 5 hours to circle the entire island at full speed. He approximated that the entire island was about 15 km in circumference, maybe less or more, since he calculated it using a formula for circles.
He then decided to head towards the woods to hunt for food until he felt a shift in the air. He realized he was being watched by a predator. He just proceeded, acting as if nothing was happening. When the predator jumped, he then subconsciously activated his Devil Fruit. He then transformed into a giant ogre with horns growing on his head. He knew what kind of devil fruit it was: the Oni Oni no Mi, Model: Shuten-doji. He had a gourd tied around his waist and a large sword on his right side. He then punched the predator, defeating it instantly. He then transformed back to his human form, but the gourd and sword remained. The sword was named Yōkiken: Kurozanka, meaning Demon Blade: Black Wisteria Blossom."
