Chapter 2 - Chapter2-Concept-Level Healing Skill

The golden-haired girl was covered in numerous knife wounds. Her clothes and skin were slashed open, blood still oozing from the injuries.

But what truly caused her to lose consciousness wasn't just the wounds.

Among the gashes, John could see traces of violet-colored poison, seeping deeper into her bloodstream. Even while unconscious, her brows were furrowed tightly in pain, a sight that stirred an inexplicable sense of pity.

John's expression turned serious. The girl had sustained far too many wounds—if untreated, she would quickly bleed to death.

And to make matters worse, the poison infiltrating her system made the situation even more critical.

Without hesitation, John took out the bandages he always carried, quickly cleaning away the dried blood and dirt around her wounds. He then used alcohol to disinfect the injuries as best he could.

Only then did the girl's expression relax ever so slightly, the tight frown on her face easing up.

But John knew this was only a temporary fix. The poison in her blood and the still-bleeding gashes weren't problems he could handle with just basic first aid.

Suddenly, a chime echoed in his mind.

[Ding! The host attempted to rescue a mysterious golden-haired girl. Achievement unlocked: Half-Baked Doctor. Reward: Concept-Level Skill – Mummification Wrapping Skill!]

[Mummification Wrapping Skill: A concept-level healing ability. Any bandages the host touches gain enhanced healing properties. The more bandages used on the target, the more powerful the healing. "Wrap away all ailments!"]

Hearing the system notification in his mind, John's expression brightened slightly.

Even though his Awakening Ceremony had granted him a basic, trash-tier class, he had also activated a special Achievement System. Whenever he performed certain actions, he could trigger achievements and gain strange, often powerful skills.

For example, after he awakened as a Furniture Maker, he had once fallen asleep in the courtyard under the blazing sun. The result? He got a severe sunburn.

The system responded:

[Achievement unlocked: Couch Potato under the Blazing Sun. Reward: Concept-Level Skill – I Am the Sun (Mini Version)!]

John had been ecstatic. A concept-level skill with "Sun" in the name? Must be an ultra-powerful offensive ability!

He activated it on the spot.

It was powerful, just... not what he expected.

The so-called "Mini Sun" generated a singularity of intense heat—10,000 degrees Celsius—floating near his body. The glowing point was no larger than a soybean. Truly... mini.

But when he saw it, John had been thrilled. Isn't this basically a welding torch from the modern world?

Of course, the result was predictable.

Without protective goggles, staring at such a high-temperature light source...

He went blind.

John had nearly wept.

The good news? The system continued to reward him with unique skills.

The bad news? Every single one of them was weird as hell—bizarre, abstract, and absolutely unpredictable.

Still, looking down at the unconscious girl before him, John took a deep breath and pushed all distractions from his mind.

"If this Mummification Wrapping Skill can really cure all ailments… then it should be able to detoxify her too, right?"

He took out a pair of scissors and carefully cut away the fabric near her wounds. Then, activating the new skill, he placed his hand on the bandages. A gentle green light began to glow from within the cloth.

He began wrapping the bandages firmly around her injuries.

Starting with her abdomen, he quickly and professionally covered the bleeding areas.

But as he worked, John couldn't help but notice—directly above the bandaged wound were two... formidable hills. Even with her lying flat, the curves were impossible to ignore—majestic, full, and undulating like mountains.

John swallowed hard.

Still, as someone from a civilized modern society, he forced himself to look away and focus on finishing the rest of the first aid.

When he reached her neck, something caught his eye.

His pupils contracted sharply.

Around her neck were two necklaces—each ending in a pendant that had slid partially down into her cleavage. But even without pulling them out completely, he could tell:

They were class medallions.

Every individual who had undergone the Awakening Ceremony and officially become an Awakener would receive a class medallion as proof and symbol of their class.

Even someone like John, who had awakened the lowest-ranked F-grade Furniture Maker, had his own class medallion.

But this girl had two.

Dual Classes?!

John's breathing quickened.

For most people, being able to awaken any powerful combat or support class was already a dream come true. But this world, built around game-like systems and extraordinary abilities, had a rare phenomenon…

Dual-Class Awakeners.

Born superior to others from the start.

These rare geniuses possessed two classes, something virtually unheard of.

In the hundreds of years of his academy's history, only a handful had ever been recorded.

Each time one appeared, it sent shockwaves through the entire region.

Yet here, in this cemetery, he had just encountered one.

John immediately and gently lifted both medallions from the abyss of white fabric.

The first depicted a hooded figure clad in black, their face hidden beneath a mask.

An A-Rank Combat Class – Assassin.

Known for speed, stealth, and explosive damage. Rare, elite, and highly dangerous.

Just possessing an A-rank combat class was enough to show this girl was anything but ordinary.

Then, John turned over the second medallion—and saw something that made his heart skip a beat.

A radiant, solemn angel was etched on the surface, a sacred expression on their face. In front of them hovered a book inscribed with glowing runes.

John didn't recognize the symbol immediately.

But when he flipped the medallion over and saw the class name engraved on the back—

His entire being trembled.

Class Conductor

An S-Rank Support Class, incredibly rare.

Capable of unlocking an Awakener's hidden potential, and even guiding them to undergo Secondary Awakening—essentially allowing a second class change.

John nearly forgot to breathe.

"Class Conductor?! That means… there's a chance I could change my class from Furniture Maker!"

In this world, once a class was set, it was practically impossible to change—unless one obtained a rare Class Change Scroll, or...

Received help from a Class Conductor.

But Class Conductors were unimaginably rare.

There wasn't a single one in all of Winterhold.

And yet—he had just found one!

Without hesitation, John began wrapping her even tighter in bandages. Layer after layer, like a cocoon. In the end, he left only her nose and eyes exposed.

From a distance, she looked exactly like a mummy.

Satisfied, John clapped his hands together.

His future now depended on this girl's survival.

She. Could. Not. Die.

This world was filled with dangers and deadly creatures—but it also held breathtaking sights, thrilling adventures, and miraculous powers.

The only reason John had remained in the shadows, quietly surviving, was because of his weak Furniture Maker class.

But now? A once-in-a-lifetime chance had landed at his feet.

How could he possibly waste it?

He hoisted the mummy-wrapped girl onto his back and dashed away from the cemetery with incredible speed.

Meanwhile, the graveyard's night watchman had just yawned, rubbing his eyes drowsily.

Then he saw a figure sprint past, carrying what looked like a tightly packed corpse.

The man shuddered in horror.

By the time he gathered the courage to chase after it, the mysterious figure had already vanished—like someone who'd just been injected with a triple shot of adrenaline.

The next morning.

Celia slowly opened her eyes, finding herself in an unfamiliar room.

Her assassin instincts kicked in instantly. She remained still, calmly scanning her surroundings.

She was tightly wrapped in thick layers of bandages. Her clothes, though torn, were still on her body. More importantly—

Her wounds were nearly healed.

The poison in her body was completely gone.

Her heart skipped.

Without the interference of that deadly toxin, she could now use her abilities freely, without limitation.

Whoever saved her—strange as their methods were—had done an excellent job.

Still, the... mummification part?

A little unorthodox.
