EVA POV
Everything in this place is disgustingly in place. I got that idea when I woke up in a king sized bed and was reminded to attend the breakfast taking place in thirty minutes. So currently I was walking down the stairs after taking a hot shower.
I glanced down at my dress which was provided by the maids as my previous clothes were 'not appropriate' for this place. The long silk gown was already itching my soul.
When I arrived at the table, everyone was already there. And by everyone I mean everyone.
Lady Selene, as everyone calls her, was looking at me up and down, narrowing her eyes. Great one more time she does this and I'll assume she has a crush on me.
Mister rude Beta Xavier did not even bother to look at me, focusing on his plate. Wait, I did not know Beta had the authority to eat with the Alpha and his family.
But I'm here too. So I'm not the one to judge.
An older man with white hair, who gave off powerful vibes similar to Alpha. His face was expressionless. A woman to his side, an aged but beautiful woman.
Then, him. His eyes locked with mine and something inside me stirred. I felt a weird feeling in my stomach as he kept the 3ye contract.
"Are you gonna stand there the whole day?" Damien asked as I slowly made my way to the table, sitting as far as possible from—everyone.
"So, now that she's here, will you talk?" the old man spoke and the room kinda felt ice Cold. Damien nodded once, putting down his fork.
"There is a reason I cannot hand her over," he began and everyone looked straight at him. "She… can mean so much to us."
What?
The old man looked at me before sighing.
"Damien, we are not dealing with this headache. Give her to Draevan and free yourself."
Damien shook his head.
"Father, I'm not letting the vampires rule over us," he began, "If this woman can bring power then we might be the first one to take it."
My eyes widened as I kept staring at him. Is he going to sacrifice me?
"But—
"Oh hey, Mr. Psycho. Hear me out."
I got up from my seat, going towards Damien, I slammed my hands on the table earning a glare from him.
"If you think I'm naive and don't understand you at all, then you're wrong. I am not going to sit here and watch you people do whatever the fuck you want—"
Damien stood up, towering me as his eyes blazed with anger, he cupped my cheeks harshly pulling me towards himself as I winced in pain.
"You need to remember your place here, rogue. You wanna live then you wanna follow the rules. And I… make the rules here."
I glared back at him with the same intensity. Who the fuck does he think he is?
"I will not!"
He dragged me upstairs as I tried to free my arm from his tight grip but of course he was way too strong.
"Let me go!"
Reaching a room he locked the door, pushing me on the bed as he hovered above me. My eyes burned with anger as I glared at him.
"You think you're something because I brought you here? You got the taste of my sugar now it's time to get back to the salt."
I wanted to push him off, slap him, kick him and punch him till that pretty face bruised like a pulp.
Yet, it was unfair how my body betrayed me, I trembled under his large body, my body ached for him, I wanted to kiss him, hold him and never let go.
How crazy is that?
"Why? First you said you protecting
me because I'm a werewolf like you and then you say you're protecting me because I mean something to your fucking pack!"
He is using me. It's clear his eyes.
A smirk crept up to his lips, as if it's that same damn man I saw at that cabin. His mouth lowered on my neck, his breath sending shivers.
"That smart mouth of yours," he began, eyes falling to my dried lips "Talk like that again, and I'll give you something to moan about."
My cheeks flushed and heat crept up to my body. He was too close, one moment, one breath and I would feel his lips on mine.
