Rain and Lilith entered the dark passage, leaving the Servant of Darkness behind them. The passage emanated a dark and powerful energy, as if the place was trying to swallow them whole. The atmosphere was heavy and charged with fear, as if the spirits of former prisoners still lingered in this place.
As they walked down the passage, they began to hear strange sounds. The sounds were faint whispers, as if someone was speaking to them from afar. The voices tried to frighten and discourage them, urging them to turn back and return from whence they came.
But Rain and Lilith ignored the voices and continued walking. They knew that these voices were just tricks, trying to deceive them and divert them from their goal.
After a long time, they reached the end of the passage. The end was a large chamber, dimly lit by black candles. In the center of the room stood a massive stone throne, and upon it sat a figure clad in gleaming black armor.
The figure wore a mask that concealed their face and wielded a long, black sword. A powerful energy emanated from this being, as if the entire room was trembling in their presence.
"Welcome, strangers," said the figure in a deep, resonant voice. "You have come here to free me, have you not?"
"Yes," said Rain. "We are here to free the Lord of Darkness."
"I am the Lord of Darkness," said the figure. "But you must know that freeing me will not be easy. I have been imprisoned here for centuries, and my power has become very weak. You must prove to me that you are worthy of my aid."
"We have passed the Paths of the Soul," said Lilith. "We have overcome our fears, and we have shown that we are willing to do anything to achieve our goals."
"That is true," said the Lord of Darkness. "But you must do more than that. You must prove to me that you possess the strength necessary to face my enemies."
"How do we do that?" Rain asked.
"You must face me in battle," said the Lord of Darkness. "If you can defeat me, then I will believe that you are worthy of my help."
Rain hesitated for a moment. He didn't know if he could defeat the Lord of Darkness, who was considered the most powerful being in Eridos. But he realized that he had no other choice.
"Alright," said Rain. "We will face you in battle."
"Excellent," said the Lord of Darkness. "Let us begin."
The Lord of Darkness rose from his throne and drew his black sword. The energy of the sword was immense, as if it threatened to tear the entire chamber apart.
The fight began. The Lord of Darkness was a strong and skilled warrior, moving with speed and precision. His attacks were powerful and devastating, requiring Rain and Lilith to exert their utmost effort to defend themselves.
Rain used the power of the Spirit Lord to defend himself and Lilith, deflecting attacks and distracting their enemies. Lilith fought with her sword, moving with agility and strength, parrying the Lord of Darkness's attacks.
But the Lord of Darkness was far stronger than Rain and Lilith. His attacks were overwhelming, and his energy seemed inexhaustible. Rain and Lilith began to feel exhausted, and they began to lose hope.
In a moment of desperation, Rain decided to use the full power of the Spirit Lord. He knew that this could be dangerous, but he was willing to risk everything to free the Lord of Darkness.
Rain focused all his spiritual energy and began to invoke the power of the Spirit Lord. A dark energy emanated from his body, and he began to transform into a dark and powerful being.
The Lord of Darkness was astonished by this transformation. He had not expected Rain to possess such power.
"You are truly strong," said the Lord of Darkness. "But you are still not capable of defeating me."
The fight continued, but Rain was now much stronger. He used the power of the Spirit Lord to attack the Lord of Darkness, slowly overpowering him.
After a long and arduous battle, Rain managed to defeat the Lord of Darkness. The Lord of Darkness fell to the ground, feeling utterly exhausted.
"You have done it," said the Lord of Darkness. "You have proven to me that you are worthy of my aid. I am now ready to leave this prison."
Rain focused his spiritual energy and began to release the Lord of Darkness. A dark energy emanated from the Lord of Darkness's body, and he began to glow with a bright black light.
After a few moments, the release was complete. The Lord of Darkness rose from the ground, feeling powerful and refreshed.
"Thank you, strangers," said the Lord of Darkness. "You have freed me from my prison. I am now indebted to you for my life."
"There is no need for thanks," said Rain. "We only want to help you achieve your goals."
"My goals are simple," said the Lord of Darkness. "I want to take revenge on my enemies and reclaim my place in the world of Eridos."
"We will help you with that," said Lilith.
"Excellent," said the Lord of Darkness. "Let us begin by planning our revenge."
And so, the Lord of Darkness joined Rain and Lilith in their mission to change the world of Eridos. Rain and Lilith knew that this was the beginning of a new chapter in their lives, and that their adventures were far from over.
