Synopsis
Centuries ago, the galaxy thrived under the protective harmony of the Harmonics—guardians who wielded a mystical energy known as the Élan. Through their mastery of this force, they maintained a delicate balance among star systems, quelling conflicts and steering civilization toward an era of prosperity. Yet this peace was shattered by the Dissonants, a corrupted faction that twisted the Élan’s power to enforce their authority by force. Their rebellion unleashed a catastrophic war, ultimately resulting in the annihilation of the Harmonics and the Dissonants’ rise to power. Today, the Dissonants rule the entire galaxy, reshaping history and erasing all memory of those who once stood in their way. Under their oppressive reign, peace is a distant memory, replaced by fear and subjugation. On the planet Scrapra, a wasteland left in ruin after long-forgotten wars, Arthur Rozier leads a humble life scavenging and selling spare parts. But as he nears his seventeenth birthday, a long-dormant force stirs within him: the Élan, a legacy of the Harmonics the Dissonants believed extinguished. Arthur’s awakening, marked by the loss of his father and an unrelenting pursuit, draws the attention of the Dissonant Empire. Hunted across a hostile galaxy, Arthur must learn to harness his power, resist the lure of its darker temptations, and uncover the truth behind the Élan. In a universe where every star appears firmly under the Dissonants’ control, one boy may hold the key to restoring balance... or sowing an even greater discord.

Chapter 1 - Prologue:

Long ago, galaxies flourished under the protection of the Harmonics—an ancient order of mystical guardians capable of wielding a force known as the Élan. This universal, unseen energy bound all living things together, allowing those who mastered it to influence the very balance of the universe. The Harmonics harnessed this force to maintain peace and harmony, quelling conflicts and guiding civilizations into an age of prosperity. But that era ended abruptly.

The sky over Kranth burned.Once known as Arvalis, this planet was the sacred heart of the Harmonics. Yet on this night, it was nothing but chaos and destruction.

Among the ruined temples, the last of the Harmonics fought desperately. Their Élan-forged blades—radiant and fluid—lit up the night with iridescent hues, striking and repelling their foes in a graceful yet futile dance. Against them, the Dissonants advanced mercilessly, their own weapons pulsing with dark fury and uncontrolled rage, leaving scarlet streaks that resembled open wounds across the fabric of the universe itself.

In the central Grand Temple, atop a silver tower now blackened by flames, Master Ilian, the Harmonics' last leader, held his ground. His face, etched with sorrow, turned toward the stars, which seemed to mourn alongside him the passing of an era.

"It's too late, Ilian," came a cold voice from the shadows.A man stepped forward slowly, his eyes glowing with a dangerous light, a dark blade in his hand thrumming with corruptive power. It was Aegor, once Ilian's disciple, now the leader of the Dissonants."The Élan will never forgive your betrayal," Ilian replied calmly, despite the exhaustion in his voice."The Élan is a tool, and now we are its masters," Aegor said with disdain. "Your time is over."

A swift, merciless battle erupted between the two masters—light clashing against chaotic darkness. But the fight was brief. Ilian, worn down by hours of relentless combat, fell to his knees, Aegor's blade hovering inches from his throat."Your death marks the end of the Harmonics," Aegor murmured with a cruel smile.Ilian slowly raised his head, gazing at the stars one last time."The Élan will always find a way," he said, his voice peaceful. "One day, harmony will return."Without hesitation, Aegor plunged his blade into Ilian's chest. The last Harmonique master collapsed, taking with him the final remnants of a forgotten age.

In the years that followed, the Dissonants methodically erased all traces of the Harmonics, rewriting history to their benefit and imposing their dark, brutal rule across the galaxies. Two centuries passed in this way, until on a forsaken planet called Scrapra, a young boy named Arthur Rozier unknowingly prepared to change the fate of the galaxies.
