Mira closed the door behind her as she entered the room. She looked around the room for the first time. It was adorned with a red rose, the rose petals scattered on the floor delicately paving the path to her bed. The scented candles were placed gently on the table. A sweet floral fragrance hung in the air. The rose petals scattered romantically on the bed. She walked further into the room. Her heels clicked against the floor. Her hands lingered around her head, removing the veil off.
Inhaling deeply she walked further inside her room. She stopped when she got near the bed. She glanced at the blanket that was covered with rose petals on top of it. Tears fell from her eyes as she knelt on the ground. She roughly brushed the rose petals away from the blanket.
Her heart ached, but she kept brushing away the petals. A sob escaped her lips.
"This was your decision Mira. You brought this upon yourself," Mira whispered to herself. Her heart felt a sudden stab of pain.
