The current group of them had tried their best to come up with their outfits that would let them blend in a little while hiding their identities but not everyone had been so obvious about it.
Ash would probably get away with a lot since she had dressed quite down to earth with items of clothing that were not too suspicious looking and could be worn by anyone.

Perhaps others were wearing face masks if they had a cold or were more conscious about catching an illness of some kind but not everyone would choose to go one step further by pairing them up with a pulled-up hood or shades.
All that it took for the police to be called was just for one of them to be seen as slightly suspicious in how they were dressed and to have their actions make them look just as suspicious.
