Chu Molin only turned around and went into their courtyard after hearing the departing footsteps behind him, leaving the women standing around, looking at each other in disbelief before they reluctantly left.
"Boss, where have you been? An elder member came looking for you but we had no idea where you were, so we told him you'd find him tomorrow." Liang Shaohui had no idea where Chu Molin had been for half the afternoon. They had tried looking for him, but this was someone else's territory, so they ended up returning after their search proved fruitless.
Now that they saw Chu Molin standing right in front of them, they wondered if their concern had been for naught. They had been on edge up to now, fearing that something might have happened to him.
"I was just next door." Chu Molin sat in a chair, pointing to the area just beyond the wall, watching as their mouths gaped open in surprise.
