There are things Chu Molin might not believe, but could anyone other than his wife grant him access to the space? Of course, not.
If he sees someone who looks exactly like his wife, all he has to do is hint that he wants to enter the space. If it's really his wife, she will let him in. If it's a fake, there will be no space and he won't be able to enter. It's as plain as day.
So, Chu Molin is quite confident about this. He would never let anything happen to his wife.
"Let's all get some rest. Once we're well-rested, we'll prepare to head back," Chu Molin told them. They couldn't stay here forever; they had a mission to report back on. They had to submit their report to say they've accomplished the mission. Also, they still had to report the bandits they had killed.
He didn't expect that they would rather die than be captured. He wondered who could command such devotion from their subordinates that they would go to such extremes.
