The next day, Amanda Jenkins woke up early.
She rubbed her eyes and saw Lucas Griffin gazing at her with deep affection.
"Lucas, I'm taking my mom out today. Aren't you heading out early?"
Lucas lifted the corner of his lip, "Don't you like waking up every morning and seeing me?"
Looking at the gentle smile on his face, Amanda's heart softened.
They had been married for so long, yet he still remembered his promise.
No matter how busy he was, he would wait for her to wake up before he left.
"It's okay," Amanda smiled. "From now on, you can go ahead if you have things to do."
She used to like seeing him the moment she opened her eyes in the morning because of a shadow from years ago, always fearful and insecure that he might leave her once she woke up.
But now she wasn't afraid.
Their relationship was now very solid, and nothing and no one could separate them.
She firmly believed that he would never leave her again.
