"I can't believe she came.", "What a shameless woman", "Why didn't she answer her husband's name? Is she embarrassed?", "I would be embarrassed if I were her." That was what people were saying as she passed going to her seat. Madina smiled looking at her sisters who smiled back while their father looked ashamed. Madina turned to Jason.
"Isn't she pathetic? She didn't even come with her husband. How bad of her." She said as he shaked his head walking away.
Sharon was sitting and greeting whoever came her way when her two sisters came over.
"You came." Rose said.
"I did." She replied folding her hands as they sat down. Why are you two sitting here? She asked.
"Don't flatter yourself. This is our table. Each family is assigned to their table. I wouldn't think twice sitting next to you." Shirley said as rose snickered.
"Sharon dear, you never seize to amaze me. Why didn't you come with your husband? Are you ashamed of him? Don't worry, if he's poor, our Moore family could help him." Rose said as she and Shirley laughed.
"Don't bother yourself with the family's black sheep." She said as a man stepped on the stage.
"Good evening ladies and gentlemen. I know you all are happy to be here as we celebrate the new beginning of Mr. and Mrs. Wilmort." He announced as everyone applauded except for Sharon.
She felt betrayed. It was as if everyone was happy for her predicament.
"Smile sis. You don't want people to get the wrong impression." Shirley mocked.
Sharon pretended like she didn't hear anything Shirley just said now.
"Before the main event, let's welcome Florida's top business mogul, Ethan Lancaster." He announced as all eyes turned to the door.
Cars were seen trooping as it stopped in front of the venue. The door opened as Irene and Ryan came down.
"Thank you." She said to the doorman smiling. I can't believe I'm doing this. She complained turning to Ryan.
"We're doing this for Ethan, babe." He said pecking her.

"Are you ready?" He asked not smiling.
"You should smile or else people would think you really don't want to be here." Irene said.

On getting close to the entrance, he heard his name.

Irene grinned stepping into the limelight along with her husband and Ethan.
Meanwhile where Sharon sat, her sisters were gushing about wanting Ethan and she hadn't even looked up yet.
"He's hot." Rose said
"I want him." Shirley said to rose.
When Sharon heard that, she turned to see who her sisters were talking about only to see Ethan. She was shocked and Ethan was already looking at her with a smirk on his face. He turned his face when he heard the sound of cameras.
"Is that the Mr. Lancaster I've been hearing about?" Madina asked.
"Yes. So behave yourself." He told her getting an eye roll from her.
Ethan nodded at some businessmen while Jason's parents came to meet him.
Ethan. George Wilmort called as Ethan just nodded.
"George." He called back as George laughed.
"I'm happy you made it. I thought you wouldn't come." He said as his wife smiled from beside him.
"I didn't want to come but I had some matters I needed to attend to." He told them.
"What matters Ethan?" His wife Matilda asked.
"You'll know soon enough." He told them.
"Well Ethan I was hoping to talk to you about my daughter, Eunice. She'll be coming back from the states soon." Matilda said.
This people are shameless. They want to hook me up with their daughter. Never gonna happen.
"Tell her she's welcome. If you'll excuse me, I have something important to do." He said excusing himself.
"Do you think he'll agree to marry Eunice?" Matilda asked her husband.
"You know how he is? He must marry her." Her husband answered.
Sharon was still looking at Ethan lost in her thoughts. She couldn't believe what she was seeing.

Irene and Ryan went to their table, while Ethan moved to Sharon's direction when a woman stopped in front of Ethan. It was lily Williams. Ethan's supposed bride.
"Ethan, please come with me. We need to talk." She whispered to him.
Ethan took his eyes off Sharon just to look at lily.
"Lily we have nothing to talk about. So move out of the way." He said leaving.
When he arrived at Sharon's table, he bend his head saying in a whisper but enough for everyone to hear.
"Mrs. Lancaster, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at our table and your husband has come. Is that a way to greet him?" He said
Everyone was shocked, including Sharon's family. He didn't care as he held her hand leading her to their table.
"Did he just say Mrs. Lancaster?" Shirley asked as Rose nodded while Jason clenched his fist.
