'You know this isn't the best time to come and see me. Elias is around, he could start to get suspicious.' I say to Kysilius who sits beside me.
'You didn't think to be smart before...'
'Don't start now.' I complete his sentence with an eye roll. Pulling away the blanket covering me, I struggle to the edge of the bed. And just then, my body jerks forward as a violent cough wracks my lungs, each convulsion tearing at my throat like sandpaper.
It takes several seconds too long before I regain myself. When I do, I force myself up and make my way to one of the seats surrounding the small circular table on the other side of the bed.
"You look like shit." Kysilius says and I can't help but roll my eyes yet again.
Upon resting on the seat, I feel a slight relief in my body. Lying on the bed for hours had really taken a toll on me.
But that's not the reason I'm so much more weaker today, I'd been at it again all day. Pushing myself, up until my body just couldn't anymore.
