Then Obito's eyes were drawn to a book with a very strange cover. The book had a striking reddish-blue color with a spiral in the middle, which at a glance reminded him of a certain emblem. Obito raised an eyebrow.
"Seriously? Are they inspired by the Uchiha eye abilities?" Obito muttered jokingly, glancing at the book for a moment before casually opening it.
As he turned to the first page, Obito's eyebrows furrowed. The book was not an ordinary record. Its contents were a dark history about a mysterious organization: The Lost Ruler.
"This organization has been around for two hundred years..." Obito read in a low voice.
"What is it?" Kabuto, busy with tubes, began to take an interest and moved closer.
"Two hundred years ago, the world was in chaos. The Fortress City was still wild, full of riots and destruction. It was during that time that some people heard a voice... grim, dark, and terrifying. The voice commanded them to help awaken the Lost Ruler." Obito began to read aloud, but loud enough for everyone to hear.
"A dark voice? Interesting. Like the influence of genjutsu, perhaps?" Kabuto smirked slightly. Kabuto listened with interest.
"Those who heard the voice were promised 'The Best Place' in the Holy Land of the Lost Ruler. Influenced by that promise, they gathered and formed a secret organization." Obito continued.
"So... this organization exists just because foolish people believed in a mystical whisper?" Kakuzu, who had been busy with bags full of money, interjected with a sly grin.
"They should focus on something more valuable—like money." Kakuzu shook his head.
"This organization not only survived for two centuries but also became the most secretive. They expanded their power in the most brutal ways—kidnapping, murder, and human experimentation..." Obito ignored Kakuzu's comment and continued reading.
"So this is the enemy we face... an organization that has existed for 200 years and committed atrocities in the shadows." Obito closed the book, pondering for a moment.
"It seems they also conduct interesting experiments. I might learn a lot from them." Kabuto smiled cynically.
"As long as they have money... I don't care if they've been around for 200 years or 2000 years." Kakuzu, indifferent, remained focused on the money bags.
"The Lost Ruler organization... it seems we must be prepared to face something more than just physical strength. And hopefully, they are not just all talk without proof." Obito looked at both of them, his face half-covered by a mask, then sighed.
In a dim and quiet corner of the city, Orochimaru, Kisame, and Itachi finally managed to catch up with Doctor Klezy and his assistant, Viona. Their breaths were caught as they faced the three figures known for their cruelty and mercilessness.
"What do you want?!" Doctor Klezy shouted in an annoyed tone, trying to appear tough even though his face showed undeniable fear.
Orochimaru chuckled, his smile wide and meaningful. "What do we want? Ah, that's a very good question. We just want a little... information. About your purpose here, and, oh, who exactly is the leader of the Lost Ruler organization?"
Doctor Klezy snorted, not answering immediately. Instead, he squinted and stared at them with a sharp gaze. "You don't know who we are?!"
Kisame merely shrugged, appearing unconcerned. "Well, if there's something interesting behind that old, fat face of yours, maybe you could tell us. Who is your leader, and what are you doing wandering around this city?"
Itachi, with a cold yet calm voice, stared straight into the man's eyes. "Tell us what we need to know. Or I will have to force you."
In an instant, Itachi's eyes glowed red, the sharp gleam of the Sharingan both captivating and terrifying. Doctor Klezy was frozen, trapped in a gaze that seemed to pierce his soul.
