Penny and Zoren didn't linger long. After Zoren had a bite of his cake and asked Penny for help, she happily finished it for him—in a blink of an eye. This was on top of the two slices she had already eaten before the official one in the living room.
"Take care, Penny." Nina stood by the doorway with Finn, watching the couple outside. "Are you sure you don't want us to walk you out?"
Penny shook her head. "Don't bother. Blacky and Chunchun are waiting for us outside, and they might mistake you for food."
"..." Nina was momentarily speechless before blurting out, "You left your black panther and your cat outside?"
"Mhm!" Penny nodded before laughing. "Don't worry. They'll be fine."
That wasn't what Nina was worried about. She knew Penny's pets would be fine, but she wasn't so sure about any unsuspecting pedestrians taking a nighttime stroll.
