Kassandra's POV
At this distance, I was watching the trainees carefully. I made sure I'm keeping my eyes on them. I feel like I need to do that in order to analyze their progress.
I need to make sure they're learning from this training. As I grab the handle of my sword, I remember Sapphira. It's been a while since she spoke to me.
I wonder why. I notice that my soldiers were taking their training seriously too. I guess they are motivated after they saw the graves of our dead soldiers.
Arida comes to me. "Is there a problem, Arida? Are you okay?" I ask.
I notice that she's holding her belly. It's not that huge, which surprises me too. I wonder if Sapphira helped her too.
"My child was kicking, General. I can't believe he'll be an energetic baby! I think he wants to be a soldier too," she happily remarked. Her reaction made me smile.
"Who knows he'll become a navy officer like his or her dad?" I remarked.
