Kalix Noah's POV
After eating our dinner, my family went to their tents to rest. My wife asks his men to build a tent for the king and queen. They will be guarded by Axel and some of my wife's soldiers.
I got up in the bed and frowned. I was staring at my wife, who was sitting at the table and was busy with something.
"Honey, you are supposed to sleep by now. You're working again. Come on. Go to bed," I utter.
She didn't look at me and continued to write in her journal. That irritates me. I get off the bed and go to her side. I was about to say something when she kissed me.
"I know you didn't want to sleep without me on your side. Can I finish this first, please?" she mumbles. My jaw clenched.
"I can't believe you," I remarked. She suddenly moves and sits in front of me and leans her body against mine.
