Chapter Eighty-Eight
She hated how easily he said things like that. As if to tell her she was special to him. She hated how her heart reacted, even when her mind warned her not to.
"I'm… I am… Fck! I'm sorry, I accused you wrongly." He finally whispered.
Asli didn't know what to say. He must have forced every ounce of pride aside just to get the apology out.
She had been needing the apology and now it was here. She wasn't exactly happy but she felt she had accomplished something. Aside from his pride, It must have taken him a lot of time to actually apologize to her. He must have rehearsed it over and over again. She could tell he meant it.
However, Asli didn't know whether she deserved it. That was funny: she had craved those words but she wasn't exactly innocent.
So, instead of saying anything to him, she just exhaled, closed her eyes for a brief moment, and let herself rest against his chest.
