Jovana's brows pulled together when she found herself in a dark place; she squinted her eyes, trying to see, but all she could discern was a dark void.
"NOOOO!" Suddenly, she heard a scream, chilling her to the spot. Without seeing anything yet, she walked toward the sound, and as she took one more step forward, the void in her eyes cleared, and her vision was assaulted by the brightness of the sky, forcing her to close her eyes before prying them open slowly as she adjusted to the light.
She looked around her, and her heartbeat quickened when she realized that she was in the middle of a battlefield. The air was thick with the heavy scent of blood, and on the ground were the bodies of dead soldiers piled high in a gruesome display.
