Alex's mind is now in his soul realm, standing in front of the chained Tailed Beasts. He wants to focus on controlling his magic that goes out of control that makes him unable to even control his own body. But he can't even do that now because something serious happens in his Soul Realm.
He and the Tailed Beasts are now looking at the bits of dark red crystals that come out of the dark floor and merge in the air. The crystals seem to be the pieces of the broken seals that imprisoned the Tailed Beasts before.
They gather and form a big round ball-like thing that floats in the air. It just looks like the Tailed Beasts' seal orbs until it changes color and some patterns appear on it. Alex and the Tailed Beasts widen their eyes when the big ball suddenly becomes a red Rinne-Sharingan.
The giant eye also feels alive and it actually looks at them as if inspecting them. It can't say anything and can't show any expressions without a mouth and eyelid. But they can feel that it's angry at them and despise them.
"I can't believe it. That is a real Rinne-Sharingan, the original one." Kurama grits his teeth.
"What do you mean by the real one?" Alex doesn't understand what he means.
"Simply put, it's the Ten Tails' eye. The seals that imprisoned us, they were made of Ten Tails' cells. We've broken them, but it seems the broken pieces just sink and hide deep in your Soul Realm, waiting for all the seals to be broken so they can merge into their real form again." Matatabi is the one explaining as always.
"No wonder the seals were very strong. They were made of Ten Tails' cells that were the best to contain our chakra as we were basically parts of it." Shukaku is very displeased.
"But why's it only the eye? It doesn't have its full body?" Alex asks in confusion.
"Because Ten Tails can't be completed without us. It can even form an eye like that because it has taken some of our chakra, I mean magic power when we were sealed. Without our magic power, it would just be a husk." Kurama explains now.
"Husk? Ah, the statue."
"Yes, the Demonic Statue of The Outer Path, or simply the Statue. The seals that imprisoned us must've made of the husk's cells. Then because the seals absorbed our chakra, now the Statue's cells have all of our chakra in it that it has merged. But it can only form an eye because it doesn't have enough energy." Matatabi explains again.
"I think it's not just that. Most likely, only a small part of the Statue was used for the seals. So it couldn't store too much of our power. If they were fully made of the Statues' cells and at full form at that, then we wouldn't even be able to break free because we would be nothing but chakra masses without consciousness." Son gives an opinion that seems to make sense for the Tailed Beasts but not for Alex's bird brain.
"Uh, so basically, that eye is the Ten Tails, right? A very weak version of it, that's why its form is just an eye, right?" Alex makes a simple conclusion.
"That sounds about right although there's no details. More importantly, the side effect you feel right now is most likely because of that thing. I think it's trying to take over your body." Kurama looks dead serious.
Obviously, Alex is surprised. "WHAT?! TAKING OVER MY BODY?"
"Yeah, it seems that way to us."
Suddenly, dark purple chains come out of the dark floor and catch the Tailed Beasts. They try to retaliate, but the chains don't even budge. These chains seem to be the same chains as the ones that come out of the Demonic Statue of The Outer Path that make them powerless.
A chain also wraps Alex's body and he also can't break free from it. The giant Rinne-Sharingan moves closer to him but he can't get away because he can't move. So he can only watch as the giant eye gets closer to him.
The giant eye stops in front of Alex and looks at him for a while before it suddenly turns into a bright red light. Alex and the Tailed Beasts widen their eyes when the bright red light enters and merges with Alex's body.
"ARGH!" Alex's scream in pain as his body glows red after the giant eye enters his body.
"F*CK! IT REALLY TRIES TO TAKE OVER THE KID'S BODY!" Shukaku shouts angrily while trying to break free from the chains, but he can't.
"This is really bad. If it really takes over the kid's body, then it will absorb all of us to be complete. While it isn't the Husk's complete body, it will be able to fully recover in some years after absorbing all of us and be the complete Ten Tails. When that happens, it will be the end, for all of us and this world."
Maybe the world won't end even with the complete Ten Tails there. Powerful Mages might be able to stop it, but it will surely cause great disasters. Many towns and even countries will be destroyed before they can stop it.
"KID! DON'T LOSE TO IT! YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN DEFEAT IT NOW! IF YOU LOSE, EVERYTHING WILL END. YOU, US, AND EVERYONE YOU KNOW WILL DIE." Son Goku shouts vigorously, very unusual of him.
"The Ten Tails's goal in life is to take back its chakra that was taken by Kaguya and spread to humans. There's no chakra here, so its goal will change. It will try to take all the magic power in this world. The world will still be there even if the magic power is gone, but many will die in the process because no one will let a single entity take all the power in this world and if it succeeds, then it will rule the world as the only one with power. If that happens, there's no way this world will be fine because Ten Tails isn't a kind-hearted creature. So don't lose! You're our only hope now. All of us here believe in you, boy." Matatabi says it firmly as she and the other Tailed Beasts put their hopes in Alex.
Alex is screaming in pain as he fights the Ten Tails' consciousness. It's an invisible battle that only Alex can feel and do. This is a battle of will between a young boy and an ancient being.
"Argh! Don't joke with me, dammit! You are just a piece of the true Ten Tails' consciousness, you aren't even the real thing. Even the real thing was just a mindless beast, you are actually just a tree controlled by Kaguya. As if I will lose to a tree like you." Alex is trying hard to hold the control of his body.
He can feel his connection with his body weakening a little even though he holds onto it as strongly as he can. His opponent might just be a small part of Ten Tails, but it is still an immortal monster that has lived for so many years.
Alex's connection with his body is getting weaker and weaker as his consciousness starts fading. The pressure that the piece of Ten Tails' consciousness gives him is really strong. He can feel that it's the Rinne-Sharingan's ability that weakens his mind.
"Tsk! You really are the eye, huh? Such a powerful attack to my mind, it must be your Genjutsu. But as expected, you are just a really small piece of the true Ten Tails because your Genjutsu is weak. If it's at the level of Infinite Tsukuyomi, then I wouldn't be able to even fight you. So there's a chance. Even if you are still so powerful, I won't lose to you. If Madara and Obito could control you, then I can do it too."
Alex says that its Genjutsu is weak, but that's compared to Infinite Tsukuyomi. It's still a strong Genjutsu that Alex can't defeat at his current level. The Genjutsu still overpowers his will although not by much, that's why he still can fight back, but he is still losing slowly but surely.
"ARGH! F*CK! I NEED THAT POWER OF FRIENDSHIP NOW, GODDAMMIT! COME ON, FAIRY TAIL! GIVE ME THAT POWER!"
Alex is shouting nonsense to keep his hope and willpower high. Though now he really hopes that the power of friendship is real and he hopes he has it because he has joined Fairy Tail. It might be too much to ask though.
The battle feels very long for Alex even though it has just been a few minutes. But it already feels like days because of how stressful and difficult it is. Then after who knows how long, Alex is reaching his limit.
The thin string that connects his mind and his body is about to snap. He barely holds onto it, but it won't last much longer under the Ten Tails' Genjutsu pressure. So Alex decides to take a gamble that can give him a chance.
"Fine! You want my body? Then stay in my body forever."
Alex jumps at the giant eyeball before he really loses his consciousness. Then he uses his Magic Power absorption ability on it. He uses it at full power right away because he is on the verge of disappearing.
He doesn't know whether this will end well or not because he is basically absorbing the Ten Tails' little consciousness, so he is merging with the Ten Tails. After this, he doesn't know if it will be him or the Ten Tails that survive, or maybe both of them will disappear or a new consciousness will form.
But this is the only chance that Alex has to win and survive. This is the gamble he is willing to take. As long as there's a chance, then he will take it. He still enjoys his life, so he won't give it up no matter what.
