After absorbing Ten Tails' power, Alex suddenly finds himself in a completely different place. His soul realm has nothing but darkness, so this bright beautiful flower garden is surely not his soul realm.
"W-where is this?" Alex looks around warily.
"Welcome to my small garden, human child." Suddenly, a woman's voice is heard from his back, so Alex jumps forward while turning around and gets into a fighting stance as he lands.
He sees many flower petals and leaves fly into a spot and form a figure. They merge and glow before turning into an old woman.
"At last, we finally meet. This is faster than my prediction, but I'm more than happy to see you exceeding my expectations. Seeing you now makes me understand why this meeting can happen faster. You've grown much better than what I've expected." The old woman is grinning widely while looking at Alex.
"Who are you?" Alex is still very wary of the old woman and doesn't dare to let his guard down.
"Well, let's talk over some tea, shall we? We finally met, so let's enjoy our time." The old woman snaps his fingers and a small gazebo complete with a round table, a pair of chairs, a tea set, and even some cookies suddenly appear between them.
She walks and sits on a chair before preparing the tea. Alex is still wary, so he doesn't approach the gazebo and stays on his spot. The woman just smiles and snaps her fingers again.
"Learn to be more relaxed, boy."
As she says that, Alex's body suddenly moves on its own without his command. He tries to stop his body, but it won't listen and just walks toward the gazebo until he finally sits on the other chair.
"You want to know where this place is, who I am, how to get out of here, and what happened to you, right? Then just relax there and I'll tell you everything you need and want to know. Besides, I'm sure you already know that you can't do anything against me, so fighting back is useless."
"Tsk!" Alex knows she is right now, so he stops retaliating and just gets relaxed. He can only do what this granny says now.
"Good. Now let me introduce myself." The granny says it while pouring the tea into Alex's cup.
"I am the one who gives you everything you have now, the Goddess that those Tailed Beasts told you." She says it while smiling calmly, but it is very shocking information for Alex.
After all, even the Tailed Beasts actually don't know how she looks. They only know that she is a Goddess with incredible power because she can send them to this world and even seal them in Alex's body without any chance of getting out.
"Surprising, right? Well, I have more surprising things to tell you, so prepare your heart. Also, I don't like being interrupted, so stay silent until I give you permission to talk, understand?" She asks while smiling, but her smile looks terrifying to Alex, so he quickly nods like a chicken.
"I can't say my real name, but you can call me Yumeda. In humans' eyes, I am what you call a God, or a Goddess as I am a female. I am the God of Dream World, it's a world where dreams become reality and form their own worlds. As long as there are still beings that dream about them, those worlds won't disappear, but when people stop dreaming about them, those worlds will disappear."
Yumeda explains that the Dream World is basically a gathering of many worlds made of living beings' dreams. But these worlds only last as long as people's dreams. That's why most of the worlds only last for a few hours because they are just short dreams.
But there are also worlds that last for a very long time. These long lasting worlds are those that manifest from stories known by many people, like stories from novels, movies, or even mangas and animes, just like Alex's current world, Fairy Tail.
Many people think and dream about those stories for a long time, that's why the worlds made of those stories will last much longer too. These dream worlds also become very real with so many people's dreams powering them.
But they won't intervene with each other because they are different worlds, separated by strong borders. Unless the one who oversees the whole Dream World, Yumeda is doing something. After all, she has authority over all these dream worlds.
"I can't change the real Dream Worlds because it will mess up so many people's dreams which can cause problems, but I can recreate copies of these Dream Worlds that I can tweak without affecting the original worlds. I actually do this often because me and the other Gods who oversee the worlds actually love to see the different scenarios that can happen with the changes we make. You can say this is our entertainment. Yeah, your life is our entertainment if you think about it like that. But it's also true that you are living your life freely because we only set the starting set. If you think of this as a game, then we only make a character and choose his power, then we let that character do everything he wants. That character is you and we choose the Tailed Beasts as your power."
Yumeda reassures Alex that she and the other Gods involved in this aren't doing anything to Alex's life after creating him. They only watch to see what he will do in his world with all the knowledge he has.
"Ah, you are actually not a reincarnated person. You are purely a being that we created and you are born in that world. The knowledge you think as memories of past life are just knowledge we give you, so no need to worry about your past life's family and friends because you don't have them. Your family and friends are the ones in that world."
Now this is a shocking revelation, but Alex calms down quickly because it really doesn't matter now. It's not like he can come back to Earth even if he really is a reincarnated person. He now lives on Earthland, so he will dedicate his life there.
"Anyway, I told you that we won't intervene with your life, right? But as you see, I am doing an intervention now. It wasn't my plan, but I needed to do it because of a mistake. You see, the Ten Tails' consciousness that you fought just now wasn't meant to be there. It's true that I made the Tailed Beasts' seals using the cells of that Husk, the Demonic Statue of The Outer Path's cells to make them stronger. But I didn't think those cells will contain the Ten Tails' consciousness. It was weak, but it got stronger after being fed with magic power for years when you tried to break the seals, that's why you were losing. I wasn't sure if I needed to intervene at first, but the other Gods told me to do something because if the Ten Tails take over your body and recover its full power, then the balance of that world will be broken, the world itself will be destroyed, so we will need to recreate a new dream world and start it from the beginning again. That's why I intervene at the last moment of your battle. Though well, me and the other Gods are really pleased by your last struggle in that fight. We never thought that you would try to absorb the Ten Tails itself when you run out of options. You don't give up till the end and don't lose your hope. We like persistent people, so we'll help you."
Yumeda snaps her fingers again and Alex suddenly feels a strong connection with his body again. He still can't leave Yumeda's garden, but he can already feel that he is in control of his body again after the Ten Tails' consciousness weakened that.
"We'll keep watching you, but you don't need to mind us and just live your life as you please. This will be the only time we intervene with anything that happens to you because this is our mistake, so don't expect us to save you another time."
This will be the first and last time Alex meets with the God who created him. But he doesn't really mind because it's not like he needs to meet her again. Besides, this meeting already answers many of his questions and it clears up his origin, so he doesn't need to meet Yumeda again.
"Alright, I've told you everything you need. I've promised to let you ask questions, but our time is over, so I'll just send you back, hahaha! Well, make sure to do more things to entertain us, boy. Good bye!"
Yumeda snaps her fingers again and Alex disappears from her garden. He feels like being pulled by a very strong force into the void. Then in just a moment, he finds himself back in his dark Soul Realm.
Alex breathes heavily as sweats trickle down his whole body. He suddenly feels very fatigued, which is obvious because he has just fought to death with the Ten Tails. It really drained all of his energy and mentality.
The meeting with Yumeda also gives him cold sweats because she is a being that no one in this world can defeat. Not even Acnologia or the Gods of this world like Ankhseram or even Natsu with his power of friendship. She can erase him on a whim, making Alex realize just how scary she is.
Thankfully, she and the other true Gods are fond of him, so they saved him. Now he can finally return, the Ten Tails is gone, and the Tailed Beasts are freed from the chains. But this experience really reminds Alex that there will always be skies above skies, so he shouldn't be arrogant no matter how high he goes.
