"What did you say?" asked Lucas, sounding angry.
"We'll talk this afternoon, I'm going home!" Lucas said and disconnected the call.
Haisley exhaled heavily. "What's wrong, Mom?" asked Luke as he looked at his mother sitting next to him.
"Come on, let's go home," Haisley said without answering her son's question.
She stood up from her seat and extended her hand in front of her son. Luke looked up to see his mother's face. "Don't want to go home?" asked Haisley as Luke only looked up at her.
Luke took his mother's hand and got off the chair. They walked hand in hand out of the school area. Since Lucas had called earlier, Haisley sat on a chair made of cement. It was for parents waiting for their children to come home from school.
