Crack~
Aurelia cracked yet another egg, She was getting better however, she still broke them with a mere touch.
"Gentler, you must let Jesus guide your hand." Cedric stood behind her, instructing her.
Aurelia's fingers trembled as she wrapped her fingers around an egg, before raising it before her eyes.
Crack~
And it broke.
Aurelia let out a dejected sigh. "At least I am getting better..."
"You are progressing well, it only took you 21 eggs." Cedric encouraged her.
If someone else had said it, she would think they were making fun of her, but Cedric saying it didn't feel that way.
"You must attain control over your power so that you do not vaporize an enemy. While in most circumstances that outcome is desirable, sometimes they are better kept alive." Cedric spoke casually.
Cedric's tone darkened slightly as he continued, "Not only that, if you cannot control your new strength, you would cause serious injuries or kill your own allies."
Aurelia nodded, her focus back on the egg task. She wrapped her fingers around one and slowly lifted it up.
"It didn't break!" Aurelia exclaimed excitedly.
"Excellent. Now grab another one in the same hand without it breaking."
Aurelia sighed. She gently held the egg as she approached a second one she was about to pick up.
Crack~
Both eggs cracked.
"Fuck..."
"Again!" Cedric ordered.
Crack~
"Again!"
With great care, Aurelia picked up one and then gently gripped a second one.
She lifted it above her eyes, her eyes closed as she awaited the cracking sound, and yet it never came.
"I did it!" Aurelia said with joy.
"Mhm, excellent! I'm proud of you. Now do the same thing with the other hand without breaking the ones you are carrying." Cedric instructed her.
Aurelia looked with a sad gaze, apparently trying to resemble a small animal.
"Do it, come on." Cedric urged her on.
Her left hand wrapped around the egg, and yet the others didn't break.
Her fingers reached around a second one.
Crack~
All 3 broke.
A pool of broken eggs covered both the table and garden soil.
"Aaaaa!" Aurelia let out a frustrated groan, however, she couldn't let down her future husband if she wished for her dream to become a reality.
"It is ok. Continue."
Slowly but surely, Aurelia picked up eggs one by one.
2 in each hand, and yet not breaking.
"I did it!" Aurelia exclaimed once again.
Cedric clapped, dozens and dozens of eggs were broken, and yet Aurelia was able to contain her power enough to not break a thin shell.
"Good, now that you've gotten the hang of a delicate control, we can continue with the next exercise," Cedric stated bluntly.
"Yes, my dear!" Aurelia saluted with enthusiasm.
Cedric didn't acknowledge her words as he commanded the first row of Guardian Angels to approach.
"I want you to punch a guardian without killing it," Cedric stated.
"Are you sure, Cedric? They are Angels." Aurelia spoke with clear worry.
"It is fine; your training is necessary, and as God's soldiers, they are glad to help the First Star."
Aurelia approached a Guardian, audibly gulping as she looked at the robotic angel.
"I'm sorry about this!" She clenched her fist and threw a punch at the Guardian.
The guardian was instantly vaporized, the burst of air displacing a large amount of dirt and breaking through the wall of the garden.
Aurelia looked with shock, even while trying to hold back immensely. The Guardian was instantly destroyed.
"Again!" Cedric ordered.
Aurelia held back even more, and yet Guardian was evaporated nonetheless.
"I am trying, and it's still too much!" Aurelia exclaimed, clearly not wishing to destroy the Guardians.
"Do not think about it; feel it."
'Feel it... like feeling you ins... NO, STOP IT!' Aurelia snapped out of it and focused back on the next guardian.
She took a deep breath before throwing a punch. Instead of a great burst of air that evaporated other guardians, she merely punched a hole through Guardian's body.
"Good, you are doing great. Next!" Cedric ordered.
The guardian broke into motes of light as it disappeared.
Aurelia closed her eyes, her mind clearing as she prayed in her mind, entering a state of meditation.
She took a deep breath before launching another strike.
Her fist connected with the Guardian, and a burst of air launched the Guardian back, launching it into the solid stone wall, shattering the solid stone.
And yet Guardian was still alive.
Behind her, she heard a clapping sound.
"Bravo, Queen Aurelia. You did great!" Cedric praised her, much to her joy.
She looked down while fidgeting. "Thank you, my dear. I tried my best."
"Fortunately, it seems you won't need all of the guardians, so you may assign them where you wish," Cedric said while looking over the remaining guardians.
"Since you got a solid grasp on control, we can continue with the next step," Cedric stated bluntly.
"Next step?" Aurelia questioned. After all she felt like she could control her strength now. Everything else would come in practice.
"We will need to go out of the city. I want you to keep up with me and follow me, I will be right by the Gate where we first arrived." Cedric said, and in the next moment, he leaned forward and, with immense speed, rushed out of the palace, leaving a trail of dust behind him.
"Wait!" Aurelia sighed. How was she supposed to keep up with Cedric?
She didn't have time to think about it, she launched herself and with immense speed she crashed into a wall.
"Owww... Wait, it doesn't hurt?" Aurelia rubbed her nose, and yet she felt no pain, however, the wall was visibly damaged, and her dress was ripped from the crash.
'Just great. I need to work on control of my speed too...' She stood up and rushed towards Cedric, her enhanced eyes easily following his trail.
She restrained herself, going about as fast as a horse and careful not to crash into anyone or anything.
It took some time before she arrived, and Cedric was already waiting for her with his arms crossed.
"Good. for the next part, we will need a clear area." She could swear that Cedric smirked at her despite his helmet obstructing his face.
