Chapter 80 - Consequences of Heresy

The auction was near completion, all of the merchandise was sold and was in the process of being transported to buyer estates.

Most payments were given and members of the Blackwater Cartel celebrated.

They had been given confirmation that the High nobility had left in a hurry, so they expedited the process of shipping because of them.

After all, they paid the most.

All cages were in the process of transport, leaving only servants, cooks, members of the Blackwater cartel, and relatively less important nobles in the old temple.

A perfect opportunity for another stage of Ariel's plan.

In a moment the makeshift temple doors were bursted open by Coek's enforcers.

Heavily armored demons rushed into the old training grounds.

"By orders of General Coek! Everyone stay where you are!" Powerful voice commanded, forcing terrified nobility to stand still.

Blackwater Cartel guards got ready to fight.

"What are Enforcers doing here?!" Vash screamed at Shade, who had a worried expression on his face.

The temple was supposed to be far enough that nobody would find them.

Which meant someone had betrayed them.

Shade's eyes searched for a clue before coming to a conclusion.

"I suspect that the new slave girl Vanj brought had betrayed us." He had never fully trusted her, and yet he gave her the benefit of the doubt.

"Are you sure lord Shade?"

"Yes... Let's retreat and plan. We do not need to care for the lesser nobility. Find Others and let us meet in the office, you must teleport us all out!" Shade shouted before rushing towards the office door.

More and more enforcers poured in, blocking all known exists.

"My Lords? What is happening?!" Vanj's concerned voice reached them.

"Your precious Lana might have betrayed us. Follow us, idiot." Shade ordered, Vanj was a useful pawn so it would have been a shame if he had died.

The words shocked him to his core, "No, she is perfect..."

"I told you, she was too perfect, now let's go." Shade gestured for them to follow.

"Do you know where others are?" Shade asked as he led the group towards the office.

"No, Lord Shade."

"Dammit, we might need to abandon them. Vanj go and find them, and for your own sake do not get caught by enforcers."

With a bow Vanj rushed to the empty merchandise room, desperately searching for Orc and Lizardman bosses.

Vash and Shade opened the office, and they were greeted by a lavish office, much like one in Fate's End hideout, and yet even more gaudy and extravagant.

As they entered they heard the voice of Vanj.

"I found them lords!"

"Great, get in!"

The bosses and Vanj entered the office.

"Vash, Shade. What happened?" The orc asked.

"It can wait. Vash, Teleport us out!"

"On it [Teleport]!" Vash used his skill and yet...

<<[Teleport] cannot be used while in [Anchored] Space>>

"Shade... [Teleport] failed."

"How..."

A small chuckle could be heard from behind them.

As they turned they saw Ariel, her legs on the table and her collar on the table.

Her wings were pure white instead of black.

"I am to blame for that one hehe~. Dad had granted me a neat skill called [Dimensional Anchor], it prevents that pesky teleportation."

"YOU TRAITOR!" Shade's aura flared, with a goal to crush the girl and yet it was like she completely brushed it off.

"Traitor? I was never your ally nor servant." Ariel spoke with a curious expression.

"Lana... how could you?" Vanj asked with a betrayed look on his face.

"Oh, that is not my name little fallen. I am Ariel. I am Dominion Balance, the mightiest of 2nd Sphere!" She said with pride.

"Dominion?" The Orc asked with a clearly worried expression.

"Doesn't matter to you little demons you will die this day, [Command]" Her words forced them to stand still as Ariel jumped from her seat, in her hand she held a small blade.

"You see, my Dad had ordered the purification of demon nests. And you served perfectly. Who could have thought playing a little helpless girl would allow me to get information on important identities?" She said with a mocking tone.

With difficulty, Shade forced words out of his mouth. "Dad? Lucifer?"

The Laugh escaped Ariel's lips, they still believed her story.

"Hahahahahahahaha!" She couldn't help but laugh.

"Tch, No little fallen. My real dad. But not like it matters to you."

"You see, your little cartel had dared step foot into the kingdom protected by Dad, and so your power must be cut down so that you may only ruin demon nests." She approached Stunned bosses.

"And Vanj, I must thank you. Your idiocy was one thing that allowed my plan to go without a hitch."

Unlike Shade, Vanj was speechless. He looked hurt.

"Do you think I will pity you, Fallen?"

"You served my purpose.[Command] Cut your throat." Ariel twirled the small blade between her fingers and threw it at Vanj.

With a simple command, Vanj was forced to pick up a blade and bring it to his own throat.

In the next moment, he had plunged the blade into his throat before falling forward, much to the shock of other bosses.

Lizardman was the only one not showing fear, clearly thinking he could resist despite everything.

"You girl! I will break you like those harpies!" He threatened.

Ariel's carefree expression scared him, despite his words he was terrified.

He had never been forced to stay still by a mere word like this.

"You do not deserve quick and painless death little demons." Her smirk was malicious and frankly evil in the eyes of Bosses.

"Fallen, you will now enjoy a show as your colleagues kill each other! [Command]" Ariel commanded everyone but Shade to attack each other.

In the next moment Orc, Lizardman, and Minotaur charged at each other. Hatred in their eyes focused on each other.

Ariel jumped onto the table and crossed her legs as she watched the spectacle.

Vash was the first one to be killed as he was a caster; forcing him to fight barehanded was a death sentence against the lizard and the orc.

The next one to fall was the orc.

Who remained was the Lizard, clearly hurt and bruised. It breathed heavily as it looked at its bloody claws.

Ariel picked up the small blade and approached the Lizard, she then gave it to the lizardman and gave another.

"Kill yourself, demon.[Command]" Ariel scoffed as the Lizard picked up the blade and stabbed his own heart.

"Now then, Fallen. What do I do with you?" Ariel giggled as she sat on the table, her maid dress changing into her old clothes before Shade's eyes.
