Chapter 81 - Crippling the Cartel

"Who... are you." The Harpy boss spoke with a terrified voice, he was forced to kowtow before the angel.

His power did not work, no even if it did he felt he wouldn't win.

"I said it once... I am Dominion Balance, granted the name Ariel by Father. You were nothing but a pawn."

"... Are you affiliated with Iguva."

"No." A clear and concise answer, no play no fun.

"No matter, you will regret this! I do not know what kind of Harpy you are. But Cartel will have your head soon!"

"Shhhh... little demon, you will continue to lead the cartel, but you will obey me and Father [Command]" With a simple activation Shade was under Ariel's thumb.

She approached the prostrated Fallen and placed her foot onto his head, pushing him close to the ground while smirking.

"Even if it leads to the destruction of your cartel, you will cause issues. You will attack, you will rob." Her words were heartless and lacked any sense of empathy.

"I... understand..."

Ariel nodded as she removed her foot from Shade before ordering him to leave.

"Good, now time to get out of here." Ariel walked past the enforcers that were approaching the office, clearly ignoring her presence.

All of them were under [Command] to arrest nobility and kill any Blackwater cartel members.

The smell of iron filled the old temple, cartel was severely weakened by the loss of many of its leaders and muscle.

Despite Shade's power he had been a coward, someone who would fail under pressure of people more powerful than himself.

"Run now little demon, make yourself useful to Father~" Ariel smiled as Shade made a mad dash outside, leaving Ariel humming happily.

'I thoroughly enjoyed that. Demons are so easy to hook with my appearance hehe~' Ariel giggled as she put her hands behind her head.

The nest had no more use.

Nobility has left and will cause a rebellion, and Blackwater Cartel was crippled enough that they may never be able to fully recover and step foot into human kingdoms.

[Usiel, Sophia, and dear Ayil! My mission is completed. Let us meet up!] Ariel chipperly said.

[Huh? What? Coming.]

The connection was cut.

After some minutes the trio of Angels made their way to her.

"See! I told you you needn't worry. If everything went well empire would both have a massive rebellion AND the Cartel wouldn't be able to spread their influence to Dad's Kingdom." She said with a smile.

Sophia smiled gently, "Yes, I believed in you, sis."

Usiel who had the most mistrust towards Ariel's plan couldn't help but sigh and apologize.

"I am sorry sister, I thought you were merely being childish..."

"Hah, It is fine! I'm well aware my behavior doesn't instill confidence. But in the future, you will trust me right big bro ~"

"I guess that is fair... Commander Ariel." Usiel gave a salute to his sister.

"I for one never doubted sis Ariel!" Ayil said with confidence, trying to convince everyone she hadn't doubted Dominion's plans.

"I told you! I do not mind. I admit I could have done things more efficiently, but playing with them did provide some entertainment."

"Should we purge this nest now?" Usiel asked.

"Mhm, I think so. Everyone useful has left and will play their role."

"Time to eradicate this nest~"

With those words, Ariel rose into the air, her arms stretched towards the urban expanse.

"I must thank you for providing me with entertainment. However, It is the end of a line for you." She took a deep breath before using her skill.

"[Enlighten]!" She shouted as a massive pillar of holy light descended over the demonic nest, all that remained was turned into ash.

Where a bustling nest once stood, only a scorched land remained, purified by God's Light.

"Sis Ayil~" Ariel turned towards her sister.

"Yes?"

"Could you make sure that this temple is also purged, we don't need any survivors now." She smirked.

"Sure! I got this sis!" With an eager tone, Ayil rushed towards the temple, her arrival causing anguished screams of both enforcers, nobles, and Blackwater cartel members being slaughtered.

"You 2 can also join her. I had my fun so I can just watch for now." Ariel stated.

"We are fine sis, Ayil had the least amount of things to do. I am sure she needs to let out some steam." Sophia spoke softly.

Enforcer captain Lam had an amazing day, some of his men rushed into his office saying they finally cracked down where the Blackwater Cartel held their auctions.

At first, he didn't believe him, but more and more of his men came with the same information.

So he decided to lead an expedition and dismantle the Blackwater Cartel slave ring.

How much joy he felt when he had found a whole temple filled with criminal nobles and Blackwater cartel members.

While slaves were nowhere to be found it did not matter, the loss of some citizens was a worthy sacrifice to finally eradicate the cancer that was the cartel.

General Coek was bound to reward him heavily, he would most certainly be promoted which would finally allow him to become something more than captain.

His men were slaughtering Blackwater and arresting nobility, Coek would punish these nobles for daring to break the law.

Just as they were finished with rounding up a ear-shattering sound was heard from the direction of the city.

The sound bounced off the walls of the temple and made its old stone structure quake.

"What was that?!"

He did not need to wait for long, as he noticed a white-winged harpy entering through the same door his enforcers went through, her white eyes instilling dread in everyone who saw them.

The harpy effortlessly cut through his men, her blade slicing through both Enforcers and Blackwater members alike.

'Their ace!' His thoughts were overwhelmed by the speed of the harpy, she moved with such speed and precision that he felt genuine fear despite the perpetrator being a young girl.

"Enforcers! Form a Line we must beat her!" He screamed, however sound of his voice attracted the attention of the harpy.

In the next moment, he saw his own body as his head flew off his shoulders.

In his final moments, he witnessed everyone in the Temple murdered in cold blood as his consciousness finally expired.
