"You know what, we will discuss this at a later time." Phillip said.
"I am glad you say so." Ian replied focusing on his meal.
The tension in the air was thick, if it was bearable before, it was choking now. Clearly both families has nothing in common, and neither felt like it was their duty to attempt to foster some sort of conversation.
Angelica was more focused on how she was going to deal with Ian's problematic familial relations once they were married, which was why she was unprepared when Phillip threw a question her way.
"So, Lady Angelica, how old are you?" he asked. Angelica perched up herself in her seat, not because she had been seating improperly before, but because this was the first time the king had spoken to her.
Considering he was to be her future father in law, a cordial first impression was not negotiable.
