Dressed in her ceremonial suit rather than a gown required of her status, Aurora stood there, in that sea of people, a spectacle among all as whispers and mutterings erupted among the people at long last.
All around her, she could hear countless things, how some found this ridiculous, how some found it fitting, and some just didn't know what to think. Some found it ridiculous because of their support for Aurora, while some found it so because the idea of a foreign princess becoming Consort was laughable to them. In the same way some of them found it fitting because they found the idea of female knights disgraceful while some believed Aurora was worth becoming a Consort in order to gain power.
The mixed reactions continued, and Aurora could hear Amalia and Madeline gasp beside her as they two realized what had just happened. But Aurora? She could do nothing.
