The moment the press conference ended, the tension in the air was thick enough to choke on. Cameras had flashed, voices had yelled, and Sophia had crumbled before the world's eyes.
But as soon as the last reporter disappeared through the entrance, I barely had time to process my victory before Sebastian's hand clamped around my wrist like a vice, yanking me forward with enough force to make me stumble.
"Hey—" I started, but he was already dragging me down the hall like a man possessed.
Employees turned their heads, some whispering, others staring in wide-eyed shock.
I met their gazes with an unbothered smirk.
Then— Slam!
The door to Sebastian's office burst open.
Before I could blink, he shoved me inside, hard enough that I stumbled.
I turned just as he slammed the door shut, the sound echoing like a gunshot.
A deadly silence followed.
