They say curiosity kills the cat but this time the cat got lucky. Gloria who had been curious to know who Charles was was left stuck on her question when she was ignored. She kept her mouth shut because she knew she wasn't the MC.
Vincent was busy replying Charles's messages smiling widely as if he had been gifted an ice cola on WebNovel by fans. "What's up with you" Jae Won asked Vincent who was still smiling. Vincent turned to look at Jae Won while he turned on the engine to drive home.
"Charles said he misses us and would like to meet us on one of his off days" he said while he turned back to pay attention to the driving. "That would be awesome" Jae Won said. He liked Charles not only he saved his life but in person too. Jae won couldn't help but smile too that's when he remembered something.
Jae Won remembered the first time he was being sent to Vincent's home, he saw a cute guy coming out of the mansion but he really was in a hurry and beside Vincent didn't see him as was busy driving. "This reminded me of something" he said making Vincent turned all of a sudden.
Vincent thought he had remembered something from the past on how he ended up being pulled out of the beach and was a little bit unhappy because if that happens, Jae Won might be leaving them soon.
What Vincent didn't know was because Jae Won had no intention on leaving him soon and remembers his past but no idea he was betrayed by somebody he really trusted. Well apart from his ex boyfriend, that one he knows perfectly well. But didn't think it's way beyond that.
Now back at Vincent who had thought Jae Won now remembers how he got to Africa began to drive slowly as if driving fast will actually take Jae Won back to where he came from "what's with your driving" Jae Won asked when he noticed the changes in Vincent mood which has affected his driving.
"Huh" is what he could uttered after being shaken for a while by Jae Won with a confused look on his face "what did you say" Vincent asked hoping it's not something about his memory. He heaved a sign of relief after Jae Won asked his question about something different that's not related to his past memory.
"You scared me" Vincent whispered but Jae Won heard "how the hell did I scare you" he asked making Vincent a little nervous. "It's just that I th...never mind. I will tell you later" he ignored the question like it was some kind of plague.
Gloria on the other hand could sense something between these two but still can quite put her finger on it after their little lovey lovey scene just now. Back at the question Jae Won asked to relief Vincent from his nervousness. "I saw someone coming out of the mansion on the day you brought me home. He really was in a hurry so he didn't see us and so were you" he asked turning to look at Vincent.
He had wanted to ask the moment he saw him but the mansion really got the best of him making him forgot the question he intended to ask. "Who" Vincent asked because he didn't really see his friend come out that day. He was only informed after his family came back. Actually he forgot about him till his mum brought it up that's when he remembered his friend. "The hamdsome tall dark skinned guy with a big round eyes that seems to have came out of a male god" Jae Won replied with vivid explanation with a hint of jealousy in his eyes.
"Oh him, that's my friend" he replied after he was relieved. "What's his name" Jae Won asked again. I don't blame him for his curiosity but that friend of Vincent is handsome like a male god. "Where is he now and why was he in a hurry" Jae Won asked.
Vincent laughed after he remembered how he forgot his friend on that day. "His name is Akwasi" he replied and paused a little "He had an emergency and had to go back home at that time. I checked up on him later that day. But now everything is really okay" he said with an assurance in his voice. "Okay, you can invite him over, I wanna meet your friend and your best friend as such" Jae Won asked as if he didn't care if that would be possible.
Vincent turned to look at Jae Won with uncertainty feelings why Jae Won wanted to meet his friend "but he stay faraway from my place" he said hoping this could change his mind but no, Jae Won didn't get the hint. "He will be spending a few days so it doesn't matter if he stays faraway" he said without even blinking.
Since Akwasi is Vincent's best friend, Jae Won was hoping he could get more information from him as to know how much percentage he have in wining Vincent heart. That's the force that kept pushing him to bring Vincent's friend over.
"If you say so. I would try and….." but his sentence was rudely cut off by uninvited guest in the car. "Where are you passing. That's not the way to your house" Gloria asked with a worried and a not pleased face I must say.
"Taking you to your house" Vincent replied while still driving.
"But but…" before she could finish her lame excuses, she was interrupted "As a lady, don't you have something to do at the house?" He asked.
"We have a servant and they get paid to do their jobs so why should I do their jobs they will be paid at the end of the month" she replied with anger clearly showing on her face. Vincent was about to talk when Jae Won suddenly interrupted him.
"It's okay, she can come with us if you don't mind, do you?" Jae Won said looking straight into Vincent's eyes as if he knew he could bewitch Vincent with that beautiful eyes of his and it did work too. "Okay" Vincent said but not happy with his own answer. Vincent had to turn around to go to their place. "Oh and also don't forget to invite your friend too" Jae Won continued.
When they say wrapp someone around your finger, that's clearly what I'm seeing here with these two. Jae Won had managed to wrapped Vincent around his little and slender finger and Vincent has no idea why he kept doing what he was told to do by Jae Won. I can't wait to find out when he realizes it's love. Hahahahaha forgive me, I couldn't help myself.
After a few minutes, they were back at the mansion. Vincent inquiring about his friend schedules and Gloria and Jae Won busy with taking pictures with the phone he had just got. Vincent didn't understand what he was feeling but one thing was for sure, he didn't like Gloria around Jae Won.
After a few hours, Claudia, Christiana, Wendell, and Samuel came back home ready to enjoy the rest of the day at home. They all came one by one only to find some uninvited guest in their home. And they all had one expression widely shown on their face 'anger' with the thought "what's the witch doing here by this time of the day".
Claudia drag Vincent outside the mansion "what's she doing here. Wasn't she here just yesterday" she asked hoping to get a tangible reason why she came back to the mansion. "Uuurm, Jae Won said she could come along after we bought the phone and was dropping her home" he replied. "What, she went with you guys" Gloria asked with her eyes wide open because of Jae's behavior.
"Haven't you told him what she is capable of doing" she asked hoping that could help Jae Won set some boundaries when it came to her. "I haven't and even if I did, I don't think that could do us any favor" Vincent replied heading back to the mansion. "Damn it" Claudia bursted out before following Vincent.
Gloria is stuck around Jae Won like a glue leaving no space for intruders around her man, she thought. Both Wendell and Samuel had to force Jae Won from Gloria's grip to be able to take some pictures with his new phone. This went on for a while when suddenly Jae Won left them with the phone heading straight to Vincent.
"Were you able to call him" Jae Won asked with curiosity in his eyes even Vincent could see it. 'Does he like my friend' Vincent thought as he knew Jae Won is into boys. He actually had a boyfriend back at home so he didn't think twice to put it together.
"Well, he said he will be available next week so he would come and spend some few days" he said with a grin on his face. Vincent thought Jae Won like his friend but didn't know the one Jae Won actually like is him alone and not want to share him with anyone.
"Why are you grinning like that" Jae Won asked Vincent who thought they will make a wonderful couple. 'But he had like girls the years I have known my friend" he thought.
"Nothing, just some stuffs" he replied.
