Deep within the mountains, by the shores of a secluded lake, a squad of over a dozen Kidō Corps members, led by their captain, finally arrived at their destination.
At that moment, a wave of suffocating spiritual pressure emanated from a short distance away, rolling across the lake like an ominous tide.
A flicker of apprehension crossed the captain's eyes before he gave his orders. "We will take a short break. Make sure to compose yourselves and clear your minds before we proceed with the mission."
"Also, suppress your Reiatsu. Do not let it leak."
Following the command, the squad members sat cross-legged on the ground, carefully guiding their Reiatsu inward, trying to prevent their minds from being disturbed by the unknown force lingering in the air.
After an extended period of focused meditation, the entire group, including the captain, slowly entered a state of calm. Soft waves of green light began to pulse around them, and the tension on their faces faded, replaced by a serene and harmonious aura.
Gradually, the oppressive spiritual energy in the air began to dissipate.
Observing that his subordinates were ready, the captain cleared his throat and spoke in a low voice. "Now, let's go over the key objectives of this mission."
Minutes later, comprehension dawned on everyone's faces. They exchanged knowing glances before moving into their designated positions as per their prior plan.
Four ancient, long-handled weapons—each resembling a cross between an axe and a crescent blade—stood covered in moss and dust, embedded into the earth at four cardinal points around a small mound: north, south, east, and west.
Taking their positions beside the weapons, the Kidō Corps members formed intricate hand seals and began chanting an obscure incantation.
In that instant, radiant lights of red, yellow, blue, and green began flickering at the four designated positions.
As the chant continued, a deep, guttural roar echoed across the lake, reverberating through the sky.
Upon witnessing this, the captain frowned slightly. "Increase the intensity of your chanting!" he commanded.
The four-colored lights flared even brighter, causing the eerie roar to wane. However, just as the squad began to relax, a thunderous bellow shattered their momentary relief.
One of the younger members paled, his expression turning vacant and unfocused.
Yet, the comrade beside him remained oblivious to his change.
"Hold firm! We're almost there!" the captain urged, his voice cutting through the tension.
But at that very moment, a streak of golden lightning tore through the sky, roaring toward them.
With a deafening explosion, several squad members were sent flying, enveloped in thick clouds of dust and smoke.
Amid the chaos, the captain swiftly noticed one of his subordinates had changed. Without hesitation, he unleashed an offensive Kidō, striking the afflicted squad member down before they could attack.
The remaining members stood frozen, eyes widening in shock at the disturbing sight before them.
And in that moment of distraction, a sinister purple specter silently materialized above them.
The phantom let out an eerie howl before lunging toward one of the Kidō Corps members, releasing waves of strange purple energy.
"No! It's an illusion of his creation! If the seal isn't reinforced now, he'll break free!"
"Stay in formation! Fortunately, we have a failsafe!" The captain's expression hardened as he swiftly retrieved an aged scroll from his uniform. Channeling his Reiatsu into it, he shouted a powerful command.
A low rumble shook the skies.
Dark crimson and black thunderclouds began to gather above, and within moments, the heavens crackled with lightning and storm.
"The military command is absolute, eight-fold gates stand firm!
Azure Gate, White Gate, Black Gate, Crimson Gate!
Interwoven, they fall into the abyss!
Dragon's Tail Gate, Tiger's Maw Gate, Tortoise Shell Gate, Phoenix Wing Gate!
Four Beasts, Seal the Door!"
The captain unleashed his full spiritual power, gripping the scroll tightly with both hands as he continued the incantation.
This scroll had been prepared beforehand—an emergency measure for this exact scenario.
As the final words of the chant echoed, four massive gates descended from the sky, surrounding the small mound from all directions, forming an impenetrable barrier.
Just as the Kidō Corps members began to breathe a sigh of relief, a suffocating Reiatsu crashed down upon them, pinning them to the ground.
From above, a figure descended slowly.
Aaron hovered in the air, gazing calmly at the "Four Beasts Seal" below.
Casually extending his right hand, he began gathering surrounding Reishi and Reiatsu into his palm.
"Boom—"
A deafening explosion shook the land as a bolt of violet lightning shot forth, obliterating the four gates of Azure, White, Black, and Crimson in an instant.
With the "Four Beasts Seal" shattered, the already unstable barrier began to collapse completely.
"Who are you?! Why are you here?!"
"You destroyed our seal!"
"The one imprisoned here is a criminal of the Soul Society! You will pay for this!"
The Kidō Corps members roared in fury, but Aaron ignored them, his gaze fixed solely on the heart of the broken seal.
Scarlet energy shot skyward before vanishing in an instant.
With an enraged cry, a purple silhouette materialized midair.
"AAAAHHHH!!!"
As the phantom's roar reverberated, the Kidō Corps members fell into madness, turning their blades upon one another.
Minutes later, over a dozen lifeless bodies lay scattered across the ground, while Aaron remained impassive, surveying the scene.
The spectral figure let out a final, feral scream before brandishing its weapon and charging directly at Aaron, its fury and resentment radiating through the air.
Yet, just as it neared him, its face became visible.
"Teacher…? Is that you? Teacher!"
Kuchiki Kōga materialized before Aaron in a blur, his voice trembling with emotion.
Aaron gazed at Kōga, his expression unchanged—except for the faintest hint of a smile.
"Kōga, it has been a long time."
Tears welled in Kōga's eyes as he looked upon the man before him, familiar yet distant.
"Let's go. Urahara and the others are waiting for you," Aaron said, patting Kōga's shoulder lightly with a rare warmth in his voice.
After a respectful bow, Kuchiki Kōga followed closely behind Aaron.
Moments later, the two figures vanished into the night, leaving no trace behind.
Months later, with the assistance of Urahara and his allies, Kuchiki Kōga slowly adjusted to life in the human world.
Aaron, meanwhile, continued his position as a teacher at Karakura First High School, silently observing the growth of Kurosaki Ichigo and his companions.
One day, as he prepared for class, a notice arrived from the admissions office—his class would be receiving a new transfer student.
