Aaron, along with Ichigo and the others, entered the gateway leading to the Dangai. The atmosphere within the dimensional passageway grew tense.
Aside from Yoruichi, whose expression remained composed, everyone else appeared somewhat restrained.
Though Inoue Orihime felt a surge of nervousness, she still found herself secretly gazing at the figure walking ahead.
At that moment, Yoruichi, who had been trailing behind the group, suddenly quickened her pace.
Catching up to Aaron, she asked tentatively, "Sensei, I remember Urahara once mentioned something to me. He said..."
Aaron looked at Yoruichi, who seemed hesitant to continue, and smiled. "Am I that frightening? What did Urahara say?"
Seeing the sharp glint in Aaron's eyes, Yoruichi felt her heart skip a beat for reasons she couldn't quite understand. She quickly composed herself, her face flushing slightly as she replied awkwardly, "Sensei, Urahara once said that back in Karakura Town, he sensed a faint yet distinct presence of Reiatsu."
Aaron suddenly remembered something he had almost forgotten.
At that time, he had promised Yamada Seinosuke that he would try to save the sealed Kuchiki Kōga.
Recalling this, he turned to Yoruichi and said, "You should return to Urahara first. I have something to take care of."
Just as Yoruichi was about to respond, Aaron turned and vanished in an instant.
Ichigo and the others, still unaware of the situation, only caught a glimpse of a dark blur passing by, unable to grasp what had just happened.
"Yoruichi-sama, where did Sensei go?" Inoue Orihime asked curiously.
"He went back to handle something," Yoruichi replied as she continued forward.
"Sensei wouldn't..."
Before Orihime could finish her sentence, she realized she was likely overthinking it.
Soon after, the group exited the Dangai and returned to Karakura Town.
Meanwhile, Aaron, now back in Soul Society, immediately sensed a faint trace of Yamamoto Genryūsai's Reiatsu.
Upon seeing Yamamoto being carried by several Shinigami, he let out a sigh.
He hadn't expected the old man to be so gravely injured.
While Aaron was still contemplating how to inquire about Kuchiki Kōga's whereabouts, he suddenly noticed Yamamoto struggling to sit up from the stretcher.
However, the Captain-Commander's silent demeanor irritated him.
Just as he was about to press for answers, a calm yet firm voice interrupted him.
"I know where he is."
With Rukia's assistance, Byakuya Kuchiki slowly stood up and spoke.
In that instant, not only Aaron but everyone present turned their attention to Byakuya.
Rukia, looking at the scene unfolding before her, felt an unsettling sense of anxiety.
At first, when Byakuya had told her about Aaron's strength, she had found it hard to believe.
But now, not only had Aizen suffered a setback at Aaron's hands, but even Yamamoto had been severely wounded by him.
A chill ran down Rukia's spine as fear crept into her heart.
Byakuya, his gaze settling on the gravely injured Yamamoto, gave him a slight nod before speaking in a soft but steady voice. "I know where Kuchiki Kōga is."
Aaron's figure flickered, and in an instant, he appeared beside Byakuya.
"Where is he?" Aaron asked coldly.
Byakuya met Aaron's gaze, his expression calm but firm. "A hundred years ago, my grandfather, alongside Captain Yamamoto, sealed Kuchiki Kōga."
"Both he and Muramasa, his Zanpakutō, possessed immense and dangerous power."
"After deliberation, Captain Yamamoto and my grandfather decided to seal them in Karakura Town, one of the most spiritually significant locations in the world."
"As for the exact location..."
Byakuya disclosed everything he knew without hesitation.
In truth, the information he had just revealed was considered a closely guarded secret of both Soul Society and the Kuchiki Clan.
However, with even a warrior of Yamamoto's caliber now gravely wounded, Byakuya had no choice but to reveal the truth.
A few minutes later, Aaron had acquired the information he needed. With a slight nod, he turned and left.
Just then, Ōetsu Nimaiya appeared beside him.
Ōetsu, now back to his usual carefree demeanor, lightly patted Aaron on the shoulder and sighed. "Didn't think you'd manage to injure old man Yamamoto like that. Pretty crazy."
"I doubt he'll be as stubborn once everything comes to light."
"If you ever get tired of this world, you should drop by and see me."
"Anyway, I've gotta take Yamamoto to the Kirinden, so I won't keep you."
Aaron looked at Ōetsu, let out a small, helpless chuckle, and said, "This world is far more interesting than Soul Society, so I think I'll stick around."
Before leaving, Aaron glanced back at Yamamoto, who was still trying to hold himself together, and shook his head with a chuckle before vanishing into an afterimage.
As the piercing gate gradually faded from the sky, the remaining members of the Gotei 13, led by Chōjirō Sasakibe, resumed their duties.
Unohana Retsu gazed at the vanishing figure beyond the gate, let out a soft sigh, and then turned to leave with the others.
Back in Karakura Town…
In the depths of a secluded mountain, a dozen men clad in standard black uniforms and head coverings traversed the rugged terrain.
At the mountain's peak, the dense canopy of trees resembled a massive black veil draped over the cliffside.
Among the lush greenery, clusters of unidentified wildflowers sprouted from the rocky outcrops.
As the group descended the mountain, they split into smaller clusters, murmuring among themselves.
"What bad luck, getting assigned to this forsaken place for a temporary mission."
"Yeah, there are way faster ways to do this, but the higher-ups insist we travel like ordinary humans. Such a pain."
"Haven't you heard? Soul Society is in complete chaos right now."
"Even the Tsunayashiro Clan—one of the Four Great Noble Families—was completely wiped out. Just thinking about it gives me chills."
"You're behind the times. Word is, something major went down at the Sōkyoku Hill when we left."
"Seriously?"
As the Kidō Corps members continued their conversation, their leader abruptly turned and scolded them.
"We're not here for sightseeing. Our mission this time is crucial!"
"The reason we're moving like ordinary humans is to prevent our Reiatsu from triggering any hidden barriers."
"Enough chatter! Focus on reaching our destination."
The group fell silent and hastened their pace.
Meanwhile, after returning to Karakura Town, Aaron made his way to the Urahara Shop.
After recounting what had transpired, he declined everyone's offer to accompany him and set off alone toward the location where Kuchiki Kōga was sealed.
