Chapter 32: Attack On Raphael
Raphael walked through the dimly lit streets, hands stuffed in his jacket pockets, his jaw tight.
The feeling had been gnawing at him for a while now—someone was watching him.
He wasn't paranoid; he had been in enough dangerous situations to trust his instincts.
He turned a corner, moving toward a quieter street, hoping to lose whoever was tailing him.
The sound of footsteps were heard behind him, keeping a careful distance but not attempting to hide.
They wanted him to know they were there.
With a deep breath, Raphael stopped.
The footsteps halted a second later.
A smirk tugged at the corner of his lips. Amateurs.
He turned slowly, his eyes scanned the darkness.
"I know you're there," he said, voice calm but carrying a dangerous edge. "Come out before I make you."
Silence. Then, a person came from the shadows.
Then another. And another. Three men, dressed in dark clothes, faces partially obscured.
