The bar reeked of whiskey, and desperation—just the kind of place where men like Micha thrived.
Trevor scanned the whole room, his eyes narrowed as he spotted the man he was looking for.
Micha sat at a secluded booth in the back, swirling a glass of bourbon with the kind of ease that suggested he had all the time in the world.
His black hair was tied back into a ponytail, his black eyes blinked way too many times as he lifted them to meet Trevor.
Trevor slid into the seat across from him, setting down a thick envelope. "Half now. Half when the job is done."
Micha didn't even glance at the money. "And the job?"
Trevor's jaw tightened. "Raphael Giovanni. I want him gone."
Micha took a slow sip of his drink, unbothered by a famous name.
"Giovanni's not an easy target. He's got men, resources, and a nasty reputation for surviving things that should have killed him."
