Chapter 23 - A Time With Rosalie [II]

Rosalie lowered her head and pursed her lips tightly. She seemed to hesitate for a while before she raised her head and looked at me and said, "Sebastian is very good to me. I know it's wrong to doubt him like this, but since I heard what you said at the dinner that day, I deliberately observed him. I don't know why, but I always feel something's off about him. So, I brought you here to talk about him. I don't want to live a life of regret."

"Then why don't you ask Sebastian directly? Are you worried that he won't tell you the truth?" Sometimes, wouldn't it be clearer to just ask the person involved?

"If it's really as you said, do you think he would tell me even if I asked him those things?" Rosalie's face was gloomy, and she was obviously unwilling to believe certain facts.

To my surprise, Rosalie was not stupid at all. At least, she had not been blinded by love.

It was not too late to save her now!

She looked so pitiful! Oh! It would only be regarded as her fault for choosing the wrong guy.

"Sebastian and I were college classmates, and I know everything about him. He dated almost five girlfriends during college. The ridiculous thing is that he dated the first three at the same time. In the end, the truth could not be hidden. It was a big drama, a well-known incident in our school!" Emily sighed and told the truth. She took a sip of cold drink and continued, "There was also a girl who got pregnant after being with Sebastian, but this guy actually refused to admit that the child was his. He said that the girl had an affair and falsely accused her of being with another man when he knew DNA would say otherwise. And the last one, I heard that he met her when he was interning in the hospital, and I don't know why he broke up with her in the end."

She told Rosalie everything she knew about Sebastian's bad deeds.

The girl had a very ugly expression on her face, her teeth tightly biting her lower lip, as if she was suppressing some emotion.

Seeing her like this, Emily was really worried that she would do something bad. If she had known that Rosalie had such a low tolerance, she wouldn't have told her. If anything went wrong, it would be on her.

"Hey, are you okay?" Emily called out, "Listen to my advice, and give up on this kind of man as soon as possible!"

It took Rosalie a long time to come back to her senses. She looked at Emily innocently and said, "But Sebastian didn't say that. He told me that he broke up with her because those girls were too powerful."

Emily was drinking a drink at the time, and when she heard what she said, she almost spat it out.

"Pfft…" Emily gave a bitter smile, "You believe such words? It seems that Sebastian's deceptive methods are still as good as ever!"

"I..." Rosalie didn't know what to say for a moment.

A woman in love! Every day was like living in a honey pot, and she naturally still trusted Sebastian.

Emily knew that Rosalie didn't completely believe what I said. Subconsciously, she was on Sebastian's side.

"Sister, listen to my advice. Don't believe a man's sweet words easily. Judge them rationally." Emily gave her a piece of advice.

Rosalie took these words to heart. She nodded, looked at me and said, "I will observe Sebastian carefully again. Thank you, Miss Sanders."

"Anytime." Emily laughed and said, "I hope the next girl who gets hurt won't be you!"

The topic about Sebastian came to an end, and they picked up our knives and forks and continued to enjoy the food in front of them.

Emily enjoyed her meal very much, but Rosalie was different. She had something on her mind and felt absent-minded and couldn't muster any mood.

Later, they chatted for a while inside the restaurant. Perhaps to thank Emily, she offered her an acting opportunity.,

"Miss Sanders, do you know Frederick Westbrook? He's a second-tier director and producer in America, and is good at directing TV dramas." Rosalie suddenly looked at me and said.

Emily nodded and said while eating, "I know him. He directed 'Happiness Within Reach' and won the Popular TV 'Golden Globe Award' for Outstanding Long-Form TV Series last year."

Rosalie showed me a look of admiration, "I didn't expect you to be quite familiar with this circle."

Hey sister, I was going to develop in the entertainment industry in the future, so of course I needed to know about famous directors like Westbrook.

Emily laughed and said, "Why are you talking about Westbrook all of a sudden? Are you also interested in developing a career in the entertainment industry?"

"Don't be ridiculous! I'm not suited to that kind of place!" Rosalie looked at me and said, "My cousin called me a few days ago and told me that Mr. Westbrook is coming to Catskill and he'll come here too. If you're interested, I'll ask my cousin to introduce you to him."

"Mr. Westbrook is coming to the countryside?" Emily couldn't contain her excitement and my emotions instantly rose.

Rosalie smiled and responded, "Yes, they are already in the county. Perhaps this is an opportunity for you."

Emily had to admit, she was moved. But, she knew she wasn't famous, so why would a big director like that let him act?

After a mental struggle, she finally refused.

"Thank you, I think the time is not right yet, let's talk about it later." She said with a smile.

Maybe Rosalie didn't expect that Emily would refuse. After all, this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

How many people would want to use their connections to meet the director? How could anyone refuse such a good thing?

Although Rosalie was a little surprised, she didn't say anything, "Well, maybe there will be another chance in the future!"

Coming out of the restaurant, the two waved goodbye.

There was a bus stop across the street. So, Emily walked over, got on the bus, and found a window seat.

Looking at the buildings disappearing in front of her eyes, the towering buildings, the passing cars, and the backs of people running in the sun. The huge billboards were right in front of me!

The stars were shining, all of which were promoting their own glory and honor.

With her talent and beauty, she believed that in a few years, she would become the brightest rising star in the country.

On the way home, she received a call from Quinn.

"Girl, do you already miss me?" Emily teased her friend when the phone was connected.

"Something bad has happened! Miss Angel Cameron, our former college teacher, was in a car accident! Come here quickly, some of us are here." Quinn said anxiously into the microphone.

Suddenly, there was a buzzing sound in Emily's head and was was completely stunned.

Miss Cameron was in a car accident? How could this happen? She kept searching her memory from her previous life, but she couldn't remember it. No such unexpected situation happened in her previous life!

"Emily, are you listening?" Quinn called out uncertainly across the phone, as if she didn't get a response from me.

Emily pulled herself back to her thoughts and quickly responded, "Which hospital are you in? I'll be there right away."

"County Hospital, come quickly and call me when you arrive." Quinn said anxiously.

After hanging up the phone, Emily quickly stood up from her seat and shouted to the driver in front of her, "Sir, please stop the car, I have something urgent to do!"

The driver was a little unhappy. He drove the car slowly and said, "You can't stop here. Get off at the next stop."

"Please, it's an emergency." Because she was so anxious, even the volume of her voice went up.

The driver glanced at her through the rearview mirror and saw that she didn't seem to be joking, so he quickly pulled over, sighed, and said, "Okay, just hurry up."

No need to tell her. She was already flying.
