Chapter 40 - "A Difficult Fight"

"A Difficult Fight"

"The rhinoceroses are fast at running, but not at turning around," Kara whispered to Hancock as she launched herself toward Asel.

Meanwhile, Hancock, upon hearing that, began circling Pin while launching attacks. Of course, these didn't do much damage. Pin, on his part, was simply mocking her, letting her hit him, as his skin was tough, even if he turned to stone.

...

"Then let's finish this. That old man is more troublesome," Kara said, looking at Asel as her emotions began to fade the angrier she became.

"It seems you see me as weak," Asel said, a little confused.

"Because you are," Kara said, suddenly appearing in front of Asel, as the ground where she stood was destroyed by her stomp.

Asel was surprised and lifted two guns to defend himself against Kara's attack, but they turned to scrap with her touch. Her strike hit Asel's chest, sending him flying backward. But Kara didn't stop; she moved quickly again, appearing behind him and striking him once more.

Asel quickly released several bombs after receiving another hit, causing Kara to explode. But even with considerable damage, she cut through the flames, which turned into cubes, and hit Asel again in the stomach, sending him to the ground.

Kara wanted to end the fight quickly, so she didn't care about taking damage.

When Asel fell to the ground, creating a crater, he quickly started pulling out explosives and mines, throwing them around to push Kara back and regain some ground.

Then he saw Kara running toward him again, even stepping on all the exploding mines. She appeared right in front of Asel again, now covered in blood and injuries.

"It looks like brute force wins," Asel said, seeing Kara's fist approach his head in slow motion.

He then received a blow that sent him flying so high he disappeared from view in seconds. Kara used her magic to the fullest to deliver that strike. Just receiving it, Asel was already dead.

After that, even covered in blood, she ran toward Hancock, who was fighting Pin.

"You need to use more force, beautiful. It feels so soft," Pin said, smirking. "Mmm. Looks like you're done. Well, it was expected from a stupid assassin who only knows how to kill in hiding," he said when he saw Kara running in his direction.

Kara said nothing and quickly threw a punch at Pin's stomach, but it didn't even move him, and the punch did no damage.

"Well, let's finish this quickly," Pin said as he prepared to attack Kara. But then he felt something in his stomach, so he looked quickly.

Where Kara had hit him, blood began to form in perfect cubes, his own blood.

"Oh! Looks like you have more than you show," Pin said, looking at Kara, who now had a completely expressionless face.

"Not speaking? Well, no matter. A few simple cuts won't make you win," he said, hitting Hancock, who managed to block with her graceful hands, but was still sent flying a few meters.

Meanwhile, Kara moved at high speed, appearing behind Pin and landing the same punch again.

"Tekai!" Pin said as his body hardened, and this time, the damage was zero.

Kara, seeing that, quickly stomped the ground, completely destroying it.

Then both started to fall. But Kara used the stone blocks as she jumped toward Pin and hit him again.

Pin, mockingly, just used Tekai once more. Then, suddenly, he saw a heart-shaped arrow appear in front of him. Since he was using Tekai, an impenetrable defense, but it didn't allow him to move, he had to stop using it to move again, which he did.

But then he felt a strike to his back, this time more powerful than the last.

"Tsk. Your punches are getting better," Pin said as he jumped out of the hole that was formed.

Kara moved quickly, not allowing him to breathe for a second, and threw another punch, appearing at Pin's chest. He used Tekai again.

When he did, he saw another heart-shaped arrow, so he had to stop using Tekai to dodge it and received another blow to his chest from Kara.

It seemed that Hancock and Kara had found a way to fight against Pin.

Although Hancock couldn't turn Pin to stone, she realized it was because she hadn't landed a full hit. This lecherous guy probably had an attraction to Hancock, so one single arrow would be enough to turn him to stone.

Kara, on the other hand, had figured out how to use her Haki and magic energy to deal damage with Crash Magic, and each punch she threw improved more and more.

"They're getting annoying," Pin yelled when he saw Kara still following him, even covered in blood, and throwing a punch.

Instead of dodging it, Kara responded with her own punch full of Haki and magical power.

Pin, surprised, felt his arm being pushed back. That surprise was nicely taken advantage of by Hancock to launch another arrow, which hit Pin in the back, and he started to turn into stone slowly.

"Damn. Anyway, you're trapped. When I get free, I'll destroy you, rape you, and then feed you to the dogs," he yelled as he saw his body slowly turning to stone thanks to his tough skin.

But he turned completely to stone after saying that.

Meanwhile, Kara, barely standing, quickly used her Crash Magic to destroy the statue completely.

"Ahh, even if we're trapped, he won't be alive for that," she said as she collapsed to the ground, exhausted. "Not fair, you didn't take as much damage because I wanted you alive," she said, glancing at Hancock, who had some wounds, but fewer than hers.

Still, Hancock's hand was quite damaged, as even with a shot to it, she had to use it to fire arrows at Pin. So now it was completely covered in blood.

Although she had some injuries on her legs, she was much better than Kara, who was completely hurt from the explosions.

"Hmm, if I wanted to, I could now trap you and whip you, as I said, but this queen will wait for you to recover," Hancock said as she approached Kara and spoke arrogantly.

"Hahaha, thanks for that, but it seems I don't have time to recover," Kara said, struggling to get up, feeling that many people were heading toward them.

Kara used the emergency snail Garp gave her, but she didn't see any help coming yet, so she knew she'd have to fight to get out.

Then they saw hundreds of armed men running toward them.

Hancock quickly used her ability to turn most of them to stone, but some dodged and shot quickly, aiming at Kara.

It seemed that capturing Hancock alive and killing Kara was mandatory.

But the men who came were regular people with weapons, so Kara simply dodged and moved quickly, knocking them out.

The problem was that they kept doing the same thing for hours. Meanwhile, the ships kept arriving. It seemed like there were endless people. They had already defeated over 10,000, and more kept coming.

"Where the hell are all these people coming from?" Kara said, annoyed, as she barely had any breath left.

"Hahaha, the dark world is bigger than you think," one of the men said as he charged toward Kara with a knife aimed at her neck.

But before reaching Kara, he turned to stone from a heart-shaped arrow shot by Hancock.

She too was breathing heavily.

During the fight, both of them had gotten close to the shore, as they wanted to use a ship to escape, but they realized it would be hard because there were many ships aiming at them with cannons.

"Sigh. Looks like this is the end, queen. It was a pleasure to fight with someone so beautiful," Kara said, looking at the cannons aimed at them.

"Seems like it," Hancock said, breaking her mask of pride as she looked at Kara with a bit of sadness.

"Hahahaha! Looks like my beautiful granddaughter is in trouble!" a voice echoed across the island, and when Kara heard that familiar voice, she looked toward where it came from.

And saw a marine ship with a dog's head approaching them at full speed.

"Sigh. Old man... you took your time," she said as she sat down on the sand. "We're out of danger now," she said, looking at Hancock, who didn't understand.

Then they saw all the ships that had been aiming at Kara try to flee, but they couldn't move at all, as the sea suddenly froze.

"Looks like he brought a helper," Kara said, sighing with relief.
