Chapter 41 - “We’ve finished remembering.”

"We've finished remembering."

"It seems like you had a good fight," Garp said while smiling, watching his granddaughter being bandaged by the ship's doctors.

"It's your fault, old man. Why did you send me to look for that stupid pirate with connections in the underworld?" Kara said angrily as they finished bandaging her.

"So, what should we do with her?" Garp asked while picking his nose, not caring about what Kara said, and pointing at Hancock, who was standing nervously since Aokiji was sitting in a folding chair not far away.

"Can't Sengoku select three of the Shichibukai? Give her a spot. Thanks to her, I'm still alive, so she's an ally of the Navy," Kara quickly said.

"Are you from the Kuja Pirates, like that woman from Sabaody? Do you want to be a Shichibukai or be arrested right here?" Garp asked quickly.

Hancock wanted to respond reluctantly but looked toward Kara, who was watching her intently.

"Then I wouldn't mind being a Shichibukai or whatever," she said quickly.

"Good. Sengoku will be happy to have someone so beautiful," Garp said with a smile, then walked away to talk to Sengoku.

After some words, it seemed Sengoku easily accepted, but with the condition that Hancock had to stop attacking merchants and catch at least 100 pirates within a month. That way, she would be easily accepted.

Luckily, it seemed the Kuja Pirates had repaired their ship and quickly returned to pick up Hancock, only to find the place filled with marines. They feared the worst, but then they saw Hancock talking calmly with the navy that had chased her for weeks. So they approached, somewhat fearful.

Then, Hancock told them about the Shichibukai deal and boarded her ship to fulfill her part of the deal while the Kuja Pirates were surprised but happy.

Then, Hancock said goodbye to Kara and left with her pirates.

"And what are you doing here?" Kara asked irritably, looking at Aokiji, who was lying down calmly.

"Someone didn't want you to be rescued," Aokiji said, ignoring Kara's question.

"It was obvious," Kara said, knowing that her distress call had been ignored since no one came for hours while she fought.

"You're getting too strong for some people. You'll have to work harder for your promotions," Aokiji said while covering his eyes again and pretending to sleep.

"Tsk. Looks like I'll have to start hunting stupid pirates," Kara said with frustration.

Then, after catching all the men who came to deal with Kara, they discovered that Kara's head was a priority in the underworld. It even went so far that, as long as they didn't kill Kara, the other assassination tasks would be paused.

It seemed the underworld wanted Kara's Devil Fruit, which appeared to be quite powerful since it could destroy everything. Some even said that Blackbeard's fruit dropped to the second level after Kara's appeared. Since if someone powerful had it, they could destroy everything, even the Red Line.

Although no one knew who spread that information, it was obvious it was targeting Kara. And it seemed to be coming from three of the underworld emperors, with someone from the government involved.

Although they didn't know that Kara didn't have any fruit, so killing her wouldn't make a fruit appear. But perhaps they wanted something else. But Kara didn't care anymore, since, in the end, an enemy is an enemy.

After catching everyone left, all the ships were also confiscated. There were around 100 large ships, which would now be very useful for the Navy.

It was obvious who one of the underworld emperors was, with enough ships to send to attack Kara: Umit, the owner of Umit Shipping, and obviously another one involved was Drug Peculo, the greatest gravedigger.

But now, Kara had to create her own group to fight against these guys, who controlled most of the underworld.

"Tsk. I should have become a pirate instead of a marine," Kara said with frustration.

But, unlucky for her, Garp heard her.

"What did you say, brat?" Garp said, hitting her on the head, which Kara couldn't dodge since she was still all bandaged up and moving slowly.

"Ouch, you old fool. Can't you see I'm still hurt?" Kara said angrily, shouting at Garp.

"No matter how hurt you are, you can still get my pulse of love if you keep thinking nonsense," Garp said, laughing.

"Just wait until you get older, and I'll send you straight to a nursing home," Kara said quickly.

While everyone on Garp's ship was used to their daily fights, they just continued working, even Aokiji kept sleeping without caring.

After a few hours, they arrived at Marineford, where they handed over the prisoners and all the ships. But a message soon came from the government, saying that someone had reported that those ships were stolen and asked for their recovery.

Before Sengoku could complain angrily, another message came to deliver some news.

"Sir, the confiscated ships that were supposed to be returned were destroyed by Captain Kara," a messenger quickly said, sweat falling from his face.

"Hahahaha. Looks like she figured out what would happen," Garp said, laughing, looking at Sengoku.

"Idiot, don't laugh! There were other ways," Sengoku complained, though inside, he was happy about what Kara had done.

Obviously, the government didn't take this well, so Sengoku told them he would punish Kara by making her do written work for a few months.

Although this was more to let Kara fully recover before going back out, as it was obvious someone had her in their sights, and Kara wouldn't stand by.

Especially since the navy was furious that someone targeted one of their current geniuses, so everyone supported Kara.

After 2 months, Kara was fully healed and went out again. This time she met someone familiar.

"Hello, Queen, long time no see," Kara said while falling onto Hancock's ship.

Sigh "It's you. What do you want?" Hancock asked, trying to act tough but happy to see Kara again.

"I found one of the guys who set us up. Want to come?" Kara quickly asked without beating around the bush.

"Who?" Hancock quickly asked.

"Umit, Deep Ocean Current," Kara said with a smile.

Hancock easily agreed, and with the Kuja Pirates' ship, they headed to where Umit was preparing one of his largest transport businesses. The place had at least 300 ships, all being filled with construction materials.

"Sir, there's a problem. The navy is here. Even the new Shichibukai is here," a messenger said quickly, running in with concern.

"What did you say?" Umit shouted as he quickly ran outside.

He quickly went outside and saw all his ships with their masts broken, even where the helm should have been, just pieces scattered from each of the 300 ships.

"Who did this? If it's the navy, they must know I'm doing a job for the World Government," Umit said quickly, looking toward the Kuja Pirates' ship, who were supposed to work for the World Government as Shichibukai.

"Aah! Don't worry about the business. I'm more concerned about your life," Kara said from the pirate ship.

"You…" Seeing Kara, Umit quickly recognized her and realized why she was there.

"I just kept my part of the deal, which was to use my ships to carry people, nothing more," Umit quickly said in defense, as fighting against a Shichibukai and the woman considered a genius in the navy was definitely not in his plans.

In reality, Umit wasn't that strong. His strength was in the weapons on his ships and their quantity, but right now, they were basically all useless since Kara attacked the helm and the sails so they couldn't even move.

"Why was I targeted?" Kara asked quickly.

"As I said, someone just rented my ships, that's all. I just know that Drug Peculo accepted the mission," Umit quickly said, although he seemed a bit arrogant. After all, he had been the underworld emperor for a long time and didn't often have enemies appearing before him.

"Tsk. I'm not one to kill people, but just die," Kara said angrily as she appeared in front of Umit and punched him in the face.

He defended himself using Haki, so he didn't take any damage, just being pushed back a few meters.

"Hahaha, you'll need to do more than that," Umit said arrogantly, just as he saw a heart-shaped arrow, which hit him in the chest. He then turned to stone.

"Well, that was easy. We make a good pair," Kara said with a smile, looking toward Hancock, who was aiming with her bow, with a giant heart.

"Pair? Hmph, that was simple," Hancock said somewhat surprised while feeling something different in her chest but quickly recovered.

Then, Kara was able to catch one, but the other two would be more difficult.

But with Umit's trade, she could begin her plan of creating a bounty hunter guild.

End of the Flashback.
